We are expecting our second boy. His older brother and sister are [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] [name_u]Jude[/name_u] and [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f].
Hubby and I are planning to name our third child [name_m]Leo[/name_m]. NOT [name_m]Leonard[/name_m], [name_m]Leonardo[/name_m], or [name_m]Leopold[/name_m]. [name_m]Just[/name_m] [name_m]Leo[/name_m]. We have always liked the name since the beginning as it is such a dashing and sophisticated name. The only concern is that, would they make a mismatched sibling set as [name_m]Leo[/name_m] will have a fairly short first name as compared to his big siblings ([name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] and [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f])?
Also, should we “balance out” the sibling set by giving [name_m]Leo[/name_m] a longer middle name like [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] or [name_m]Alexander[/name_m]?
Please, we would like to hear from you. Thanks! ![]()
i think if you love [name_m]Leo[/name_m] go with it. I think its a pretty awsome name
I don’t have kids yet but me and my brother have short names and my other two brothers have long names and none of us has middle names and its never bothered us that our names have different styles but if you care just give him a longer middle I love [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]
[name_m]Both[/name_m] [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] and [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] are on my list
good luck
I don’t think the length matters at all, plus, [name_m]Leo[/name_m] packs two syllables into three letters. And I, like you, love [name_m]Leo[/name_m], but not [name_m]Leonard[/name_m], [name_m]Leopold[/name_m] or [name_m]Leonardo[/name_m]. [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m], [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] and [name_m]Leo[/name_m] work for me stylistically because they are all established, familiar names with history, but have never made it to the Top 10.
I think a one-syllable middle could work, [name_m]Leo[/name_m] [name_m]Charles[/name_m] or [name_m]Leo[/name_m] [name_m]Vaughn[/name_m], but I prefer a 3 or 4 syllable name.
[name_m]Leo[/name_m] [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] is rather special, I think. Other ideas:
[name_m]Leo[/name_m] [name_m]Christopher[/name_m]
[name_m]Leo[/name_m] [name_m]Donovan[/name_m]
[name_m]Leo[/name_m] [name_m]Frederick[/name_m]
Good luck!
