[name]Nathaniel[/name] [name]Cole[/name] and [name]Henry[/name] ([name]Gabriel[/name]) [name]Reese[/name] are my top two combos for a boy.
However, [name]Henry[/name]'s combo is slowly taking my affections away from [name]Nathaniel[/name]'s.
I’m starting to feel guilty! So I ask you nameberry: Which do you prefer?
Notes:
Kol is not a tryndee spelling, it’s older than [name]Cole[/name] actually. It’s from the viking ages, and I feel it adds more to [name]Nathaniel[/name] than just [name]Cole[/name] alone. Kol is more appealing, to me. I know that a lot of berries aren’t a fan of Kol, but please don’t nix the combo based on the spelling alone.
[name]Gabriel[/name] may or may not be included into [name]Henry[/name] [name]Reese[/name]. It’s a secondary idea, so feel free to like just [name]Henry[/name] [name]Reese[/name] instead of [name]Henry[/name] [name]Gabriel[/name] [name]Reese[/name]
I vastly prefer [name]Nathaniel[/name] Kol/[name]Cole[/name]. It’s very handsome and Kol is very interesting! I like it tons more than [name]Henry[/name] [name]Reese[/name].
[name]Henry[/name] [name]Reese[/name] is heavy on the “r” and “e” sounds so I think [name]Gabriel[/name] is needed to break it up. [name]Henry[/name] [name]Gabriel[/name] [name]Reese[/name] flows much better. [name]Nathaniel[/name] [name]Cole[/name] is fine too. Personally, I wouldn’t pronounce [name]Cole[/name] and Kol the same way ([name]Cole[/name] would be coal and Kol would be “col” like in [name]Colin[/name]). Take away the K and add an “l” and you get “lol”.
I agree with what mischa said. I think the [name]Gabriel[/name] is necessary otherwise [name]Henry[/name] [name]Reese[/name] doesn’t flow well because it’s two "ree"s in a row. [name]Henry[/name] [name]Gabriel[/name] [name]Reese[/name] is very handsome though! I also like [name]Henry[/name] [name]Gabriel[/name], or [name]Henry[/name] [name]Cole[/name]. I don’t really like the spelling Kol very much because I feel like I have to pronounce it differently, but I’m not sure how to pronounce it. I really like [name]Cole[/name] because it’s simple, straightforward, and neat. My vote goes to [name]Henry[/name] [name]Reese[/name] if you put the [name]Gabriel[/name] in the middle!
I vastly prefer [name]Henry[/name] personally, I’ve never been a [name]Nathaniel[/name] fan, but I love [name]Nathaniel[/name] for you. I just can’t see you not using it, but maybe that’s just me. It’s kind of frustrating when favorites switch–on the one hand, you don’t want to give up this name you’ve loved for so long, but the other, newer option seems so refreshing and cool. I think either is great for you, though, so I would just look at it from a bit of a distance, and see if you’d really use [name]Henry[/name], if you really love it that much. At one point I thought [name]Annabelle[/name] might overtake [name]Isabelle[/name], but then I actually thought about it, and realized that it was still [name]Isabelle[/name] that I loved, and I honestly wouldn’t trade it. I still really like [name]Annabelle[/name], but after that, I just know that [name]Isabelle[/name]'s the [name]Belle[/name] name for me.
Aw, thank you! I think I’ll keep them in their places after this thread, and when I meet my future son, then I’ll see if he feels more like a [name]Nathaniel[/name] or a [name]Henry[/name].
