I went to a university that’s really good at football, so when we played for/won the National Championship, we called it the natty.
It’s a stretch, but maybe names that could have the nicknames [name_m]Ned[/name_m] or [name_m]Neddy[/name_m]? I say the T’s and D’s the same in [name_m]Neddy[/name_m] and [name_m]Natty[/name_m] so the transition seems less strange. Maybe [name_m]Edward[/name_m], [name_m]Edmund[/name_m], or [name_m]Edwin[/name_m]?

Bodybuilders are either natty or juicing. [name_f]My[/name_f] husband and BILs all weightlift and talk about who is “natty” all the time

I also think the name Ned is so cute so funny about everyone’s associations. I totally get the Natty light thing!! But it doesn’t bother me too much!!
