Nature-inspired name poll

My husband and I are both nature loving, conservation researchers. We would like to give our 1st baby a unique, nature inspired name but worry that it will sound too “hippie” . Please help me decide by giving your honest opinion on the follow 4 names! Thanks :heart:

Cassia is definitely my favourite! [name_f]Rosella[/name_f] and [name_f]Camellia[/name_f] are pretty too. I like [name_u]River[/name_u], but not so much on a girl.

Definitely [name_f]Cassia[/name_f]. The nature reference is subtle and not one that most people would probably realise or appreciate. It sounds more like a name-name than something like [name_u]River[/name_u], or even [name_f]Camellia[/name_f].

I love [name_u]River[/name_u]! It has a pleasant visualization and I’ve always had a soft spot for that name! [name_f]Cassia[/name_f] would be my second favorite off of your list.

I love [name_f]Cassia[/name_f]! It has such a beautiful sound & look. [name_u]River[/name_u] is also nice, but it’s quite trendy and I prefer it on a boy, personally. :slight_smile:

I can see why you are having a hard time !! I love each of those names for different reasons. Ultimately I picked [name_u]River[/name_u] as I feel like it has the best symbolism of you and your partner.

When I think about names, I typically swoon over names with significance or a story. As conservationists our waters are so important and I think [name_u]River[/name_u] reflects that the most out of the 4 options. Typically [name_u]River[/name_u] is not a favourite of mine but I love it for you.

I like [name_u]River[/name_u] or [name_u]Rio[/name_u] for a little boy
For a girl I love [name_f]Camellia[/name_f] which reminds me of [name_u]Camille[/name_u]/ [name_f]Camilla[/name_f] and she can also go by [name_f]Millie[/name_f] or [name_f]Cami[/name_f] if you think the name is too much

Rosella is my sister’s name, so I’m biased—but I love it! [name_f]Cassia[/name_f] would be a close second.
