Navy, Noa & Ada

Hi,

What do you think of siblings named:

Navy Thomas
Noa Isabelle
Ada Scout

All middles are honors x

I am quite liking this sibset! It gives off very calm, beachy vibes!

I actually love [name_f]Navy[/name_f] for a boy and I think [name_f]Navy[/name_f] [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] is very sweet!

[name_f]Noa[/name_f] is another one of my absolute favourites. I love it for a girl but with [name_f]Noah[/name_f] being as popular as it is, it may get a bit confusing. That wouldn’t stop me from using it though! I would also use [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] with [name_f]Noa[/name_f] as I like the way the O’s mirror each other.

[name_f]Ada[/name_f] is a newfound love for me. I have only started liking it recently! I do think it may be a bit rhymey with [name_f]Noa[/name_f] but I don’t think they are too close. I think it ties the others together and is definitely the most grounded of the three. [name_f]Ada[/name_f] [name_f]Scout[/name_f] is cute!

Thank you @oakbelle, I do like your sugestion of [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] but I much prefer the spelling of [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f], and it is also a direct honor. I don’t find [name_f]Ada[/name_f] and [name_f]Noa[/name_f] too matchy but it is good to know others opinions. Thank you

[name_f]Ada[/name_f] does feel stylistically different to [name_f]Noa[/name_f] and [name_f]Navy[/name_f] (vintage vs. on trend/contemporary) but I think the short, bright nature of all of them, and the balance of traditional/contemporary makes them all work! I like them

I admittedly would assume [name_f]Navy[/name_f] was a girl in this sibset. I like [name_f]Ada[/name_f] and [name_f]Noa[/name_f] together, and [name_f]Noa[/name_f] and [name_f]Navy[/name_f] together, but to me, [name_f]Navy[/name_f] and [name_f]Ada[/name_f] are completely different styles. I still think they could work, but I would be surprised if an [name_f]Ada[/name_f] told me her brother was named [name_f]Navy[/name_f] and vice versa.

I agree with some of the comment above - [name_f]Ada[/name_f] seems like the more traditional vintage name while the other two are more artsy/modern sounding names (I get that [name_f]Noa[/name_f] isn’t a new name). But I do like this short and sweet style!

[name_f]My[/name_f] tweaks would be

  • consider replacing [name_f]Ada[/name_f] or [name_f]Navy[/name_f] with something else
  • consider having all names with their own starting letter
  • I would prefer a consonant-starting middle for [name_f]Noa[/name_f] - eg [name_f]Noa[/name_f] [name_f]Mabel[/name_f], [name_f]Noa[/name_f] [name_f]Sabella[/name_f] or [name_f]Noa[/name_f] [name_f]Mirabelle[/name_f]
