I am expecting twin girls, and need a name for one.
I have decided 100% that I am naming one of them [name_f]Antonia[/name_f]. I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_f]Antonia[/name_f]. To me, it’s everything I wanted in a name…classic, feminine, a bit exotic.
(P.s. I will NOT be using nickname [name_f]Toni[/name_f]. Yuck.)
My older daughters name is [name_f]Maria[/name_f]. Which I think goes perfectly with [name_f]Antonia[/name_f].
So now I need another name…here are some ideas I have so far, but I’m not really “feeling” any of them 100%. I would hate to just settle on one because I can’t think of anything else.
[name_f]Antonia[/name_f] is so pretty. As is [name_f]Maria[/name_f]. I’d pair another Italian name. Of your list, I like [name_f]Lucia[/name_f]. What about:
[name_f]Lucia[/name_f] goes great with [name_f]Antonia[/name_f]! Also like [name_f]Luciana[/name_f] (maybe a tad more) With your sibset, I also like [name_f]Gianna[/name_f], [name_f]Sienna[/name_f], [name_f]Valentina[/name_f] and [name_f]Viviana[/name_f]. Good luck and congrats!
I love all your suggestions but [name_f]Antonia[/name_f] and [name_f]Giada[/name_f] together makes me think food network…two high profile female chefs [name_f]Antonia[/name_f] Lofaso and [name_f]Giada[/name_f] de Laurentiis
[name_f]Do[/name_f] you want a name that ends in A?
I’m going out on a limb here a little because my suggestion is a little on the match-y side… but I think [name_f]Antonia[/name_f] and [name_f]Augusta[/name_f] sound beautiful. They sound nice as twins to big sis [name_f]Maria[/name_f].
[name_f]Antonia[/name_f] is one of my middle names - I also like it for the lovely novella “My [name_f]Antonia[/name_f]” by [name_f]Willa[/name_f] Cather - gorgeous story.
[name_f]Maria[/name_f] and [name_f]Antonia[/name_f] are a great match.
I think the names on your list would work well, but I understand that feeling of a name just not being quite right.
Previous posters have given some great suggestions, but here are some that came to my mind:
[name_f]Paloma[/name_f]
[name_f]Petra[/name_f]
[name_f]Ramona[/name_f]
I do know that [name_f]Giada[/name_f] is supposed to be pronounced ‘Jah-dah’ but I don’t like it like that. So far [name_f]Giada[/name_f] is on the top of my list.
Also, I do really like Lousia, but I’m just not feeling it 100%. Same with [name_f]Lucia[/name_f].
Some suggestions that I really like, but not sure if I am brave enough to use are:
[name_f]Valentina[/name_f] ([name_u]Love[/name_u]!)
[name_f]Satine[/name_f]
[name_f]Silvia[/name_f]/[name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] (Like it, but it looks like the word ‘saliva’ to me. I can’t get it out of my brain now.)
I feel like when I hear “the” name I will just know. Keep 'em coming!!!
Of your 4 options, I like [name_f]Vienna[/name_f] the best because I feel like [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] & [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] are too common / not exotic enough and I’m just not a fan of [name_f]Giada[/name_f].
[name_f]Antonia[/name_f] & [name_f]Violetta[/name_f] was my first thought. I think [name_f]Violetta[/name_f] is gorgeous and works perfectly with [name_f]Antonia[/name_f] & [name_f]Maria[/name_f].
Some more ideas:
[name_u]Ren[/name_u] - very short, but so pretty.
[name_f]Freida[/name_f] - a pretty different vibe from [name_f]Maria[/name_f] & [name_f]Antonia[/name_f], but I think it fits in really nicely.
[name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] - Same as [name_f]Freida[/name_f], different, but pretty.
[name_f]Isabella[/name_f] - I can’t stop thinking about [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] in this sibset, so I’ll put her down.
