I’m new here… sort of. I’ve lurked around this forum for years, reading baby name convos. I never thought it would come to this, but now I need help! There are just 2 weeks (or less) left until our 4th and final baby arrives and we can’t come up with a name that seems to fit.
#4 is a boy and I have a few rules, which really are making this whole thing harder I think, but I want this name to sorta match the other 3 and these are the guidelines I’ve been following:
Needs to be 3 syllables
Can’t start with A, B, D, E, or M
Needs to contain an L
Can’t end with the same ending sound as his sister’s names
Nothing super popular, like [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] for example.
The only name we’ve been able to come up with that fits all that is Valerik, but neither hubby nor myself really like it. It’s just a name that follows the rules. I’ve been open to bending on the whole “must have an L” thing, but there hasn’t been a name I’ve come across that we like enough to accept the lack of the letter L.
With L’s:
[name_u]Leander[/name_u]
[name_m]Liodor[/name_m]
[name_m]Livio[/name_m]
[name_m]Lysander[/name_m]
[name_u]Gabriel[/name_u] (same ending letters but possibly pronounced differently enough for you? I thought I’d add it just incase)
[name_m]Solomon[/name_m]
[name_m]Silvio[/name_m]
[name_u]Sylvester[/name_u]
[name_m]Sylvanus[/name_m], [name_m]Silvanus[/name_m]
[name_m]Lorenzo[/name_m]
[name_m]Laurentin[/name_m]
[name_m]Nikolai[/name_m], [name_m]Nicolai[/name_m]
[name_m]Percival[/name_m] (ditto the ending qualm)
[name_m]Paladin[/name_m]
[name_m]Nicholas[/name_m]
[name_m]Orlando[/name_m]
[name_m]Zekiel[/name_m]
[name_m]Wenceslas[/name_m]
Following the other rules but missing the L:
[name_m]Finnian[/name_m]
[name_m]Caspian[/name_m]
[name_m]Caruso[/name_m]
[name_m]Hartigan[/name_m]
[name_m]Gideon[/name_m]
[name_m]Corentin[/name_m]
[name_m]Phineas[/name_m]
[name_u]Jericho[/name_u]
[name_m]Tavian[/name_m]
[name_m]Tavio[/name_m]
[name_m]Rhydian[/name_m]
[name_m]Umberto[/name_m]
[name_u]Vetiver[/name_u]
[name_m]Frederick[/name_m]
[name_m]Xavier[/name_m]
[name_m]Luis[/name_m] / [name_m]Lewis[/name_m] / [name_u]Louie[/name_u] was my first thought (not 3 syllables but matches in style and L)
[name_u]Olsen[/name_u]
[name_u]Elliot[/name_u]
[name_u]Calloway[/name_u]
[name_m]Caleb[/name_m]
Not “matchy” options: [name_m]Ruben[/name_m] and [name_m]Oscar[/name_m]
