I had a potential list of names for our daughter but she came out looking much different then I thought (compared to our other child) and so now I feel like the names I had don’t suit her.
But we have to choose a name today in order to be discharged.
She has a full head of black hair, and blue eyes, big baby tall and large; would love some random name suggestions! [name_u]Or[/name_u] even your top names!
I like more modern names, nothing too wordy like [name_f]Bella[/name_f] or names with great NN’s.
S.O likes names like [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] or [name_f]Amelia[/name_f].
Well I loved the names [name_u]Valentine[/name_u] and [name_f]Bella[/name_f], but I also had names like [name_u]Holland[/name_u] or Scotlyn on my short list.
I think I was always a bit undecided.
Fiona-that’s my favorite name…and it’s the name of my beautiful doggy. But I think a human [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] would absolutely have dark hair & blue eyes. Sounds perfect!

She definitely could grow into a name. The looks of babies are ever changing in the beginning… like blue eyes for example usually change within a year. Is it actually the law to have a name to be discharged from a hospital? [name_m]Can[/name_m] you give the hospital any name (perhaps the one you’d planned to use) and take your time? [name_m]Don[/name_m]’t allow yourself to be bullied or rushed, particularly after you’ve just given birth.
I love the Irish names that are characteristic for the child’s appearance. Like [name_f]Ciara[/name_f] or [name_f]Kiera[/name_f] meaning little dark one. Other names that “feel right” for a dark haired girl to me (being dark haired myself) would be.
