I’m looking to find girls’ names that begin with A or M after my ancestors. I’ve always loved my name - [name]Danielle[/name] - and I am looking for something that is similarly unique but well known enough that it’s not constantly mispronounced or misspelled. I also like that my full name is very feminine, but I had a cute nn when I was a kid - [name]Dani[/name]. Basically, I just want to do as well by my daughter as my parents did by me!
I used to love the names [name]Ava[/name] and [name]Maya[/name], and I still do. The problem is that they’re becoming too popular. I also would like something with a bit more length and elegance. Some other ideas I’m toying with are:
I really like [name]Aurora[/name] and [name]Amelia[/name] from your list!
A couple of others you might consider: (I tried to list feminine names w/ their possible nn’s)
*[name]Aurelia[/name] is very pretty and I like the nn Auri or [name]Rae[/name]
*[name]Arabella[/name]–[name]Ari[/name] or [name]Bella[/name]
[name]Adriana[/name]
[name]Ariana[/name]–[name]Ari[/name]
[name]Acacia[/name]–[name]Ace[/name] or [name]Asa[/name] ( I really like [name]Asa[/name], it has the same spunk as [name]Ava[/name] but without the popularity)
[name]Aveline[/name] nn [name]Ava[/name]
[name]Alexandra[/name]/[name]Alexandria[/name]
*[name]Mirabelle[/name]/[name]Mirabella[/name] nn [name]Mira[/name]
*[name]Miranda[/name] (could also use [name]Mira[/name])
[name]Magdalena[/name]–this one is okay, could use nn [name]Maggie[/name]
*[name]Melina[/name]
[name]Ava[/name] and [name]Maya[/name] are becoming rather popular yes… ^^
I’ll give you my list of unusual A and M names. I collect them, and so most of the names on my list is not in the top 1000… They may not be for you, but they might give you and idea… I’m not sure how much else I can do to help you… I really like [name]Alexandria[/name] and [name]Magdalena[/name] suggested by Lonniecate [name]Abigail[/name] is also a good one, although she’s not on my list ^^
My favourites from your list are [name]Mae[/name] (although it doesn’t have the length you wanted),
[name]Aurora[/name] (just gorgeous) and [name]Amelia[/name] (although I think this is moving up in popularity very quickly due to the emma meganame phenomenon).
