I need a girl name for our third baby. Our oldest daughter is Chrimson and our son is [name]Shepard[/name]. We are complimented ALL the time on their names and I just cannot come up with anything as equally awesome! Please help!!!

Are you by any chance an [name]Alabama[/name] fan? I only ask because of Chrimson. I think Carrigan and Kenzington have kind of a similar feel. [name]Love[/name] [name]Shepard[/name]!
We are asked that all the time bc of Chrimson’s name, but no, I just loved the name.

If you’re ok with two color names, I [name]ADORE[/name] [name]Lavender[/name].
[name]Riley[/name], [name]Paisley[/name], [name]Daphne[/name], [name]Emery[/name], Lumen, [name]Romilda[/name], [name]Waverly[/name]?
What about [name]Clover[/name]? I love the idea of 2 sisters named [name]Crimson[/name] and [name]Clover[/name]… like the song!! Otherwise…I definately see something a bit quirky and nature related… maybe [name]Juniper[/name], [name]Meadow[/name], [name]Tallulah[/name], [name]Lilac[/name], [name]Luna[/name], [name]Sapphire[/name] or [name]Soleil[/name]?
I’d definitely stick with word names. You have with your boys a color and an occupation, and pretty unusual, not popular ones at that, but ones that still sound name-like (-son ending with Chrimson, and [name]Shepard[/name] is known as a name), so I’m kind of inclined to nudge away from those with girls. Some categories and thoughts:
Times of day/year/etc.
[name]Winter[/name]

Sure there are more!
It’s obvious I do like different names, but I feel like they are very useable! Whenever I say their names in public, I have people stop and say, “I love those names!” we’ve never had an odd reaction!! It’s so difficult picking an uncommon name that isn’t “out there” and weird. I was kind of leaning towards [name]Matilda[/name]. At fist I thought it was too common, but now I think it is pretty rare. I do like [name]Meadow[/name] as well, but may be too “hippy” for me. Also like Brees— we live in the south and are Saints fans, but don’t know if I want to name my baby after a quarterback, then again I named my first daughter Chrimson, which is [name]Alabama[/name]'s color! I think [name]Matilda[/name] is my top choice right now!
While I advocated for word names, if [name]Matilda[/name] is your true love it’s also a great name : D. And yes, I think it gets a lot of chatter on NB but [name]IRL[/name] there aren’t tons running around.
[name]Meadow[/name] is pretty but if it’s too hippy, it’s too hippy. [name]Willow[/name] would fit and is a little less hippy, I think?
Brees is an interesting idea but I think everyone’s going to assume it’s spelled [name]Breeze[/name]?
I don’t know if I can come up with better suggestions than the ones above.
I liked the idea of the plant themes though. Since both Chrimson and [name]Shepard[/name] are longer names I tried to think of plant names that would work in length.
Coriander
[name]Tarragon[/name]
[name]Mimosa[/name] (I really like this despite the fact it’s a popular breakfast cocktail.)
[name]Marigold[/name]
[name]Hyacinth[/name]
[name]Cymbeline[/name]
[name]Wisteria[/name]
[name]Mirabel[/name]
Other names I like:
[name]Teagan[/name]
[name]Tuliana[/name] (I don’t usually like smash names but this [name]Tulip[/name]-[name]Lilian[/name] mixture has grown on me)
[name]Sabin[/name] (like [name]Sabine[/name] without the e)
[name]Ismene[/name]
I also have a few thoughts on what I’d stay away from:
[name]Winter[/name]/[name]Snow[/name] - combined with Chrimson and [name]Shepard[/name] it’s a Christmassy themed to me.
Citrine/[name]Sapphire[/name]/[name]Yarrow[/name] - anything that is also the name of a color. It’s too matchy with Chrimson.
