Need a special name for 3rd child

My son is called [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] and my daughter is called [name_f]Tilly[/name_f].
We are TTC baby number 3, and have miscarried twice in the last 7 months. So we would like a very special name if it was a girl. Boys we are fine on. I have googled so many meaningful names and have a list - The trouble is I like so many and DH doesn’t.

I did think about having a name similar in meaning to [name_f]Tilly[/name_f], which is mighty in war or strength in battle. I thought if we successfully carry she would very much be a little fighter, but all the names I like are too similar to [name_f]Tilly[/name_f] for example [name_f]Tilda[/name_f].

Other names considered are:
[name_f]Gabriella[/name_f] - gods messenger or warrior of god
[name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] -she who brings happiness
[name_f]Tessa[/name_f]- the meaning isn’t that great, think it means harvester or to reap. but I love this name
[name_f]Ada[/name_f]- prosperous and happy

My list could go on MN would either be a family name [name_f]Mary[/name_f] meaning wished for child or something star/moon/constellation related like [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f]

Any other names with great meanings such as love, miracle, etc would be great and that fits with siblings names. Then I just have to convince DH

[name_f]Mabel[/name_f]- loveable
[name_f]Louise[/name_f]- renowned warrior
[name_f]Nora[/name_f]- light, honor
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f]- light
[name_f]Winnie[/name_f]- blessed/peaceful/fair

[name_f]Mabel[/name_f] was on my list, but family members all had bad associations with this name. Shame I love it
I like [name_f]Nora[/name_f], but instantly think [name_f]Nora[/name_f] Batty, or Nitty [name_f]Nora[/name_f] (Which is annoying, because I like the name)
Friends are naming their daughter [name_f]Lucy[/name_f], which would go well with sibset.
[name_f]Winnie[/name_f] is also taken bu family members
[name_f]Louise[/name_f] - Strangely not keen on this as a FN maybe a MN

Thank you

I think the meaning “to reap” could be very beautiful for a longed for third, you’ve sewn your dreams and hopes, and prepared, and struggled, like a farmer readying his fields, and soon you will, God willing, see the fruits of all your struggle. I’m not sure if you’re religious, but there is a beautiful Bible verse that says “Those who sow in tears shall reap with joyful shouting”

Anyway… here are some other ideas

[name_f]Veronica[/name_f] - To bring victory
[name_f]Vera[/name_f] - [name_f]Hope[/name_f]
[name_f]Ava[/name_f]/ [name_f]Avila[/name_f] - Desired
[name_f]Victoria[/name_f] - The victorious one

Good luck.

[name_f]Tilly[/name_f] and [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] sound a bit too similar for sisters for me.

What about the name Kella? It’s an Irish name that means warrior. Might be perfect for your little fighter.

Of your list I think that [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] works best with your other children’s names!!

graciebeth - you put that so beautifully. A third child is so hoped and dreamed for, and to finally reap the rewards would be so joyous! I like [name_f]Ava[/name_f] from your suggestion as well, similar in style to [name_f]Ada[/name_f] and it has a lovely meaning. I think [name_f]Ava[/name_f] is becoming slightly popular, although saying that I have only ever taught one child with this name.

toronto - I think there is a story about twins [name_f]Tilly[/name_f] and [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] I can see that they sound similar, but that doesn’t massively bother me.
Kella has a wonderful meaning for me, but too similar to my cousins name, who I am not overly fond of

I am loving [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] a lot and like the nn [name_f]Bea[/name_f] and trixie. Never met or taught a [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] so that’s a plus

[name_f]Ada[/name_f] on here means noble, nobility and [name_f]Ava[/name_f] means life
