Hello Name-Gurus
We’re having our third, and while I’m pretty sure on a girl name (if that happens) I’m a bit stumped on a boy name that starts with an E.
Context: We like to stick with E - it just so happened that our first was an [name_f]Esmee[/name_f] and our second an [name_m]Etienne[/name_m]… and so now we don’t want the third to feel left out lol
We’re from a english/french canadian family. So extra points are awarded if they’re bilingual type names. (We’ve found older European names to be the easiest)
Spam me with your favourite boy E names.

Your kids’ names are wonderful! I have an [name_m]Elijah[/name_m] ([name_m]Eli[/name_m]), 13, and he loves his name! It’s fun to say, too. Best of luck!
Your children’s names are beautiful. What a lovely pairing! I would just like to say that you are by no means locked into an ‘E’ pattern or a [name_m]French[/name_m] pattern for that matter. Many parents find themselves in this situation. It usually is just a coincidence like in your case. Two ‘E’ names out of three isn’t likely to be perceived as a pattern.
In regards to your third child feeling left out based on their first initial, it’s a possibility but I think a very small one. It’s unlikely to ever amount to anything significant. Especially when your actions prove otherwise.
I think we often have a unique mindset when choosing children’s names. It’s an important decision and sometimes a very involved process, so it’s normal to zoom in on the details. There’s style, flow, origin, spelling and pronunciation, popularity, other siblings, other relatives, and so on to consider. In this mindset we can sometimes place too much importance on things that would unlikely matter in the scheme of things.
So even though an ‘E’ name would make a tidy trio, I think it’s best to keep yourselves open to all the letters of the alphabet as it will give you the best odds of finding a name you love. All the best finding that special name.
