For some reason, I have a really hard time with boy names. I need to flesh out my list, because I don’t know if ANY that I have currently will work. Most of my girl names are nature-y, so if it works with that, cool. MUST HAVE POTENTIAL NICKNAME OPTIONS BUILT IN (if it’s a longer name at least). We’re big on nicknames, and if there isn’t an intuitive short form I’ll have a hard time with it. I like a lot of long vowel sound names usually (but big sister would be [name_u]Juniper[/name_u], so maybe long U is out for a boy?). Any suggestions welcome!
Names I like:
[name_m]Callum[/name_m], [name_m]Malcolm[/name_m], [name_m]Graham[/name_m]: not sure if I can use any of these, our last name starts with M and they kind of run together.
[name_u]Sullivan[/name_u]: I just don’t know if I actually like it enough, and I’m not sure if I like [name_u]Sully[/name_u] as a nickname.
[name_u]Jude[/name_u]/[name_m]Julian[/name_m]: [name_u]Love[/name_u], but can’t use because of big sister
[name_m]Shepherd[/name_m]: I like the idea of [name_m]Shep[/name_m], but it might just be a little too out there.
[name_m]Amos[/name_m]: love, but have [name_m]SIL[/name_m] and an aunt named [name_f]Amy[/name_f], and I don’t know if I would want them to be so close.
[name_m]Wesley[/name_m]: pretty popular here, would probably be more likely to be used as a middle
I like Sheperd. I don’t think [name_m]Shep[/name_m] is too out there at all. As a middle school teacher I’ve seen plenty of “out there” names. [name_m]Shep[/name_m] is not one of them
