I am looking for cool sounding names with a past. My boy’s picks I think have these qualities ([name]Asher[/name], [name]Felix[/name], [name]Luca[/name]) but I am getting worried about the popularity of them and I want some back ups. We are probably going to start TTC in early 2013 for #2 and what if by the time I have the baby, my choices are in the Top 50? I generally like names that are 2 syllables and pretty easy to pronounce. No [name]Hieronymus[/name] please!
Some names I like but can’t use for one reason or another to give you some ideas…
I like [name]Archer[/name] a lot. My husband has said no to [name]Milo[/name] (too cutesy), [name]Adrian[/name] (he just yells “Aaaaadrian!” from [name]Rocky[/name] when I suggest it), [name]Theo[/name] (too Cosby show), and [name]Rufus[/name] (still a dog’s name to him) but I do like them! I wonder why he’s so much more judgmental when it comes to boy’s names…
[name]Cato[/name] (it is a chain of clothing stores here though, would that be weird?)
[name]Caius[/name] (I’ve always liked this one, but I have a good friend named [name]Kai[/name] so it might sound strange)
[name]Pascoe[/name]
[name]Apollo[/name] ([name]Love[/name]!)
[name]Philo[/name] (makes me think of the Greek pastry dough though)
I love [name]Silas[/name] but my husband always thinks of the character from Weeds. And it is gaining in popularity quickly, so I’m wary of it. I do love it though.
