Need help with girl names. I’ve always loved the names [name_f]Alexis[/name_f] (nn Lexi) & [name_f]Aaliyah[/name_f] (or Aliyah). Husband name is [name_m]Alex[/name_m] so [name_f]Alexis[/name_f] or [name_f]Lexi[/name_f] would be perfect however I think we have both decided maybe [name_f]Alexis[/name_f] is better for a middle name. But I dont think [name_f]Alexis[/name_f] would work as middle name for [name_f]Aliyah[/name_f] (Aaliyah Alexis) the double AL just doesnt flow or is it just me) I would love first name [name_f]Aliyah[/name_f] and a middle to shorten for lexi as nn but lexie doesnt flow well as middle name either. Middle name suggestions we’ve thought of “Lexiana” & [name_f]Lexani[/name_f], but still looking for ideas. Looking for ways to get both names we love, preferably first name [name_f]Aaliyah[/name_f] with a middle name to shorten for nn lexi. [name_f]My[/name_f] favorite name is [name_f]Aaliyah[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f] or [name_f]Lexi[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f] but trying to get the best of both worlds since I love both name. Looking to get [name_f]Aaliyah[/name_f] & some how incorporate some form of [name_f]Alexis[/name_f] or [name_f]Lexie[/name_f]. I dont think [name_f]Aaliyah[/name_f] [name_f]Alexis[/name_f] sounds good. Is [name_f]Aaliyah[/name_f] Lexi-Marie too much? Your thoughts? Help!!

It sounds like you prefer [name_f]Lexi[/name_f] most and want a name that gets you to [name_f]Lexi[/name_f].
From your choices I think [name_f]Alexis[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f] or [name_f]Lexi[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f] are both lovely.
I agree [name_f]Aaliyah[/name_f] [name_f]Alexis[/name_f] is too repetitive and doesn’t flow well.
[name_f]Alexis[/name_f] also feels more classic to me. It’s nice that it would honor your husband but she would also have a sweet nickname that you both like.

I think Aaliyah/Aliyah [name_f]Alexis[/name_f] is a little too repetitive, but it could maybe still work, since middle names aren’t said a lot. Maybe you would like [name_f]Aaliyah[/name_f] [name_f]Maxima[/name_f], [name_f]Aaliyah[/name_f] [name_f]Maxine[/name_f], or [name_f]Aaliyah[/name_f] [name_m]Lennox[/name_m]? I think any of those would make sense as a way to get nn [name_f]Lexi[/name_f].

[name_m]Even[/name_m] though [name_f]Marie[/name_f] sounds kinda simple and common, I just love [name_f]Aliyah[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f] but also wanting [name_f]Lexi[/name_f] incorporated that’s why I was wondering if [name_f]Aliyah[/name_f] Lexi-Marie is too much also thinking of Lexiana as middle name since it’s a mix of both our names but didnt know if it sounds too made up or trying to hard lol
Choosing a name is hard and even harder when you like a few names equally!
I’m generally not a fan of creative names but I agree Lexiana has a very pretty sound. It also has a straight forward spelling and personally I prefer it over [name_f]Aaliyah[/name_f].

[name_f]Aliyah[/name_f] [name_f]Lexi[/name_f] and [name_f]Aliyah[/name_f] Lexi-Marie are both lovely. Lexiana is very pretty as well (I don’t think it’s too try hard at all) and a sweet nod to you and your husband. Any of those would be wonderful.
I think [name_f]Aaliyah[/name_f] Lexi-Marie sounds nice and isn’t too much at all. [name_f]My[/name_f] first thought was just [name_f]Aaliyah[/name_f] [name_m]Lex[/name_m] sounds beautiful and could easily get to the nickname [name_f]Lexi[/name_f]. [name_f]Aaliyah[/name_f] [name_f]Lexi[/name_f] could also work but it’s not my favorite personally.
