My family has always had a tradition of a family middle name, and a “unique to me” first name. Eg, my middle name is my grandmother’s first name, my son’s middle name is his (paternal) grandfather’s name, etc.
Our last name is “Murphy”. We’re expecting baby boy #2 and well, middle names for boys that I actually like are…limited:

____ Lincoln (Murphy)
____ Baird (Murphy)
____ Martin (Murphy)
My first son’s name is Oliver Jefferson (Murphy), so we’d like to try and keep something along a similar feel for baby number two, but I can’t decide on a flow that feels right. Our current top runners for boy first names:
Lincoln ____ Murphy
Leo ____ Murphy
Rory ____ Murphy
Levi ____ Murphy
Gray ____ Murphy
We’re up for suggestions on anything else as a first name, too – assuming it will go with Oliver/Ollie (we liked August, but felt Ollie and Augie was, well, too much) and pairs well with one of the four middle names above.
Any help would be appreciated because apparently pregnancy has rendered my decision making skills useless and we all know how much family can complicate things. -_-;

We’d like to keep things to a single middle name (edited the above for clarity as I don’t think it was apparent that [name_u]Murphy[/name_u] is our last name, not another middle name), but I do really like [name_u]Rory[/name_u] [name_u]Lincoln[/name_u] and [name_m]Leo[/name_m] [name_m]Martin[/name_m]! I hadn’t considered [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m] before but I think I may need to add it to the list. Thanks!

Yeah…Gray [name_m]Baird[/name_m] makes me think [name_u]Gray[/name_u] Beard the pirate and [name_u]Gray[/name_u] [name_m]Mark[/name_m] is well…yeah. Same as [name_u]Gray[/name_u] [name_u]Lincoln[/name_u]. It’s hard when the first name can be a adjective and the middle name can be a noun. I really like [name_u]Rory[/name_u] [name_u]Lincoln[/name_u] and [name_u]Lincoln[/name_u] [name_m]Baird[/name_m] is pretty unique!
