Does [name]Rose[/name] sound funny with a last name that also starts with “R”
(ie. [name]Rose[/name] [name]Roberts[/name])? Especially if NN is “[name]Rosie[/name]”?
Is [name]Rose[/name] at risk of becoming too popular?

I think it just depends on what style you’re going for–I personally would find it to be very cute with the charm of a vintage heroine. It would be simple and memorable, which aren’t bad qualities at all. As far as [name]Rose[/name] itself as a name, everybody likes it but neglects it for the first name position, making it a stand-out. 
I love [name]Rose[/name]. It will not sound bad with a last name beginning in “r”. I think alliterated names are quite lovely. And, while it is holding steady in popularity, I can’t see it breaking the top 100 anytime soon (like [name]Violet[/name] is set to do).
