So I’ve decided I want spunky, sweet, and vintage. Either short or has pretty nn’s. DD is [name]Violet[/name] and I would like the names to sound sweet and charming together. Not too similar.
[name]Stella[/name] - my dh has finally said that he will consider this one!!! Super excited. It is kinda popular ( I don’t hear it in my area) but is in the top 100. But it’s a classic. Super spunky, tons of personality, and all packed in this little name. [name]Love[/name] it with big sis. [name]Stella[/name] [name]Juliet[/name]? Nn’s Stell, Stells…and I know it’s popular but I absolutely love the nn [name]Elle[/name] too.
[name]Daphne[/name] - love this one too. Spunky, pretty, slight nature vibe. Slight worry over the daffy nn. And I think I like the A ending of Stella a bit better. Plus not sure I love Daphne with my Ds’s name. But if we ever go for a fourth and it’s a girl, then I think Daphne Madeleine would be a perfect pick
[name]Eloise[/name] - nn’s [name]Elle[/name], Lo, and [name]LuLu[/name]. sigh. I feel board of this one. But not ready to take it off the lost yet. Maybe feeling board with a name could change? I used to love it :/. Mn [name]Amelia[/name].
[name]Tessa[/name] - same as above but also feel that [name]Stella[/name] has more personality. I should love this name. I don’t know why I don’t! Haha. Mn [name]Madeleine[/name] or [name]Juliet[/name]
But in the end, I think my heart lies with the name STELLA :). Stella Juliet. Hope Dh gives the final ok to it!
Congratulations-- it’s an excellent option, especially when paired with sister [name]Violet[/name]. [name]Stella[/name] and [name]Violet[/name] are roughly equivalent in popularity (73 & 101, respectively). [name]Stella[/name], [name]Robby[/name] and [name]Violet[/name] would all have distinct starting and ending sounds but they mesh together very well. Great choice, especially when paired with the ravishingly romantic [name]Juliet[/name].
[name]Stella[/name] is cool and funky, and I think it invokes exactly what you’ve described. I prefer [name]Tess[/name] to [name]Tessa[/name], how do you feel about that, since you said you want to love [name]Tessa[/name] bu don’t?
[name]Stella[/name] [name]Juliet[/name] is really gorgeous. Also consider [name]Hazel[/name]? My only worry is that since it’s also a colour, it might be too matchy with [name]Violet[/name]. [name]Gemma[/name], perhaps?
Have you considered [name]Estella[/name] or [name]Estelle[/name]? It is less popular than [name]Stella[/name] and you could still use [name]Stella[/name] as a nn or [name]Elle[/name].
My heart still lies with [name]Tessa[/name]/[name]Tess[/name]–I think it’s adorable with [name]Robby[/name] and [name]Violet[/name]–but if your heart lies with [name]Stella[/name], it’s a lovely option, too. [name]Violet[/name] and [name]Stella[/name] are very pretty together.

I don’t think it’s popular in the area I live because I’m around kids, babies, and newborns a lot…and I never hear it. I like [name]Stella[/name] a lot better than [name]Estella[/name] or [name]Estelle[/name] even though those are the less popular options. And I really like [name]Tess[/name] but I find it a bit abrupt to say all the time. I like it better as a nn. I like [name]Hazel[/name] too but I find it a lot harsher than [name]Violet[/name]'s name and also a color so cute but not my fav for me
But still, I think [name]Stella[/name] is my favorite. So glad to you girls also think it sounds great with my other chidlrens names! Me too :). My DD [name]Violet[/name] also has teasing potential and it has never bothered me either. All in all I think this is a great name for my second little girl. And so glad that it sounds good with [name]Violet[/name] as I’ve been having a very hard time finding a name I love that also doesn’t clash with her name. I just hope my dh goes along with it and that I continue loving it and don’t get bored…but this name has so much personality ( like DD’s name) that I hope it sticks. [name]Stella[/name] isn’t my style. I just think Streetcar named Desire (the hazard of having a BA in Theatre I guess). But I think with [name]Robby[/name] and [name]Violet[/name] it is by far the best suited. Also, you seem to be the most excited about this name, which I think is a strong indicator that it would be the best choice for you.
