I like [name]Desmond[/name] best. [name]Anthony[/name]/[name]Antonio[/name] and [name]Kyle[/name] are lovely but feel a bit dated or boring to me. [name]Desmond[/name] is refreshing and I can really see it working on most types of boys! Such a handsome choice. I think [name]Desmond[/name] [name]Kyle[/name] would be nice, or even [name]Kyle[/name] [name]Desmond[/name]. Honestly, though, if [name]Kyle[/name] is your favorite you should just go for it.

Good luck!

I actually got the name [name]Desmond[/name] from the song Ob-la-di, Ob-la-di by the Beatles!

My son’s name is [name]Kyle[/name], so that is my first choice for you! [name]How[/name] about [name]Kyle[/name] [name]Anthony[/name] or [name]Kyle[/name] [name]Desmond[/name]?

My boyfriend is starting to come around [name]Desmond[/name], but since he is such a difficult person to agree on names with, we are keeping [name]Kyle[/name].
We first had [name]Kyle[/name] [name]Anthony[/name], but he’s willing to consider for the next few days, [name]Kyle[/name] [name]Desmond[/name]. Thank you!

What about [name]Kyle[/name] [name]Antonio[/name]? I think it flows better than [name]Kyle[/name] [name]Anthony[/name] (although that’s not bad, either), and I like that [name]Antonio[/name] would honor your husband’s Latin roots.

Exactly, I love his whole background, I’m Greek (my family [name]JUST[/name] moved to the US) and his family is Mexican (also [name]JUST[/name] moved from Mexico). So we are very strong in heritage, but he does not want a spanish name, considering he says it’s hard enough his name is [name]Marco[/name] [name]Antonio[/name].

I can understand that. I’ve taken psychology courses and such as I just graduated from college and they usually say the first generation tries to blend in, just wants their children to be accepted, etc., and then the second generation tries to ignore their heritage so they don’t stand out, and they just don’t care, but the third generation appreciates their heritage and wants to know as much about it as possible so they stand out from their peers. I would personally love to have a name that tied me to my parents’ culture… as it is I’m an English/[name]German[/name]/American mutt, haha. My family’s been here forever and I would just love to have a cultural gem to take hold of.

If he wants a more American name, why not something that is both quite popular among English circles but has ties to either Latin or Greek origins? My first thoughts were something like [name]Augusten[/name], [name]Felix[/name], or [name]Oscar[/name] for a Hispanic/Spanish/Latin background, or something like [name]Alexander[/name], [name]Nicholas[/name], [name]Christopher[/name], [name]Sebastian[/name], or [name]Peter[/name] for your Greek heritage. I think [name]Kyle[/name] [name]Nicholas[/name] or [name]Kyle[/name] [name]Alexander[/name] would be really nice.

Funny, [name]Nicholas[/name], [name]Alexander[/name], and [name]August[/name] were once on our list. But there is a [name]Nicholas[/name], a [name]Christopher[/name] and a [name]Joshua[/name] on my side of the family as it is. His family is more towards, [name]Jose[/name], [name]Louis[/name] and [name]Carmelo[/name]. I liked [name]Giovanni[/name] (nm [name]Gio[/name]) for awhile. We had a very close call on [name]Caesar[/name] [name]Antonio[/name]. [name]Caesar[/name] was spelt the Latin way, and had the [name]Roman[/name] background of [name]Julius[/name] Ceaser.

I think we will stick with [name]Kyle[/name] [name]Desmond[/name] G.

[name]Kyle[/name] [name]Desmond[/name] is cute!

I just saw [name]Gavin[/name] from your favorites, too… I love that so much! I’ve been thinking about it for my own list, I think it’s so perfect. I think [name]Gavin[/name] [name]Kyle[/name] would have been really cute, but [name]Kyle[/name] [name]Desmond[/name] is lovely too.
