My husband and I cant agree, he likes [name_f]Maggie[/name_f], and I like [name_f]Grace[/name_f]. I think [name_f]Maggie[/name_f] is nice, but it is just a nickname, and he associates [name_f]Grace[/name_f] with what he said before dinner every night growing up. Now we can’t agree on something we both like. Other names I like:
[name_f]Annabelle[/name_f]
[name_f]Sophie[/name_f]
[name_f]Madeline[/name_f]
Please give opinions!
I think all three of your current options are very nice! My favorite is probably [name_f]Madeline[/name_f], although I think [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] is a really nice balance between [name_f]Maggie[/name_f] and [name_f]Grace[/name_f].
Other ideas ~
[name_f]Magdalen[/name_f] (nn [name_f]Maggie[/name_f]) ~ this was my very first thought. It sounds similar to [name_f]Madeline[/name_f], but you would also be able to use [name_f]Maggie[/name_f]!
[name_f]Graciela[/name_f] (possible nn [name_f]Grace[/name_f]?) ~ I know an adorable girl with this name, and think is a nice way to have the sound of [name_f]Grace[/name_f] without the connotations of prayer.
[name_f]Gemma[/name_f] ~ I really like this as a compromise between [name_f]Grace[/name_f] and [name_f]Maggie[/name_f].
[name_f]Mirabelle[/name_f] ~ kind of a combination between [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f] and [name_f]Madeline[/name_f].
[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f]
[name_f]Claire[/name_f]
[name_f]Anna[/name_f] or [name_f]Anne[/name_f] (with the nn [name_f]Annie[/name_f]?)
[name_f]Brielle[/name_f]
[name_f]Ella[/name_f]
[name_f]Pearl[/name_f]
[name_f]Lydia[/name_f]
[name_f]Mae[/name_f] or [name_f]May[/name_f] ~ I think it is comparable to [name_f]Grace[/name_f], and it also captures some of [name_f]Maggie[/name_f]'s sound!
[name_f]Summer[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]
[name_f]Rose[/name_f]
[name_f]Maria[/name_f]
[name_f]Maren[/name_f]
[name_u]Eloise[/name_u]/[name_f]Elise[/name_f]/[name_f]Elsie[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosanna[/name_f]
[name_f]Susanna[/name_f]
[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] (nn [name_f]Maggie[/name_f])
[name_f]Marigold[/name_f] (nn [name_f]Maggie[/name_f])
[name_f]Margot[/name_f] (nn [name_f]Maggie[/name_f])
[name_f]Maisy[/name_f]
[name_f]Marielle[/name_f]
[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] (or [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f].)
[name_f]Sienna[/name_f]
[name_u]Bellamy[/name_u]
[name_f]Isabelle[/name_f]
[name_f]Lillian[/name_f]
[name_f]Julia[/name_f]
[name_f]Eva[/name_f]
[name_f]Serena[/name_f]
[name_f]Miranda[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucia[/name_f] (or [name_f]Lucy[/name_f])
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f]
[name_f]Annabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Adira[/name_f]
[name_f]Livia[/name_f]
[name_f]Tessa[/name_f]
[name_f]Eleni[/name_f]
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f]
[name_f]Hope[/name_f]/[name_f]Faith[/name_f]/[name_f]Joy[/name_f] ~ or have you already considered the other virtue names?
[name_f]Adeline[/name_f] ~ slightly different than [name_f]Madeline[/name_f]. The nn [name_f]Addy[/name_f]/[name_f]Addie[/name_f] would be an option.
[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f]
[name_f]Ally[/name_f] ~ probably just as a nickname?
[name_f]Scarlet[/name_f]
[name_f]Liana[/name_f]
[name_f]Leah[/name_f]
[name_u]Ruby[/name_u]
[name_f]Poppy[/name_f]/[name_f]Molly[/name_f]/[name_f]Holly[/name_f] ~ all too nickname-y?
[name_f]Emmeline[/name_f]
[name_f]Jessamine[/name_f]
[name_f]Megan[/name_f]
[name_f]Carina[/name_f]
[name_f]Mary[/name_f] ~ I really love this for you. [name_f]Mary[/name_f] is more of a standalone name than [name_f]Maggie[/name_f] is, and captures the simplicity and beauty of [name_f]Grace[/name_f].
Good luck
I agree that [name_f]Maggie[/name_f] is a nickname only but I also thinks its too outdated for a baby nowadays. [name_f]Grace[/name_f] is lovely, and traditional.
Of your others, I like [name_f]Sophia[/name_f]. You can’t go wrong there!
I agree with the above-- [name_f]Maggie[/name_f] is too nicknamey to me while [name_f]Grace[/name_f] is more of a timeless classic. I think [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] is a good choice-- it has the class of [name_f]Grace[/name_f] with the EE ending of [name_f]Maggie[/name_f]. What about [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] nn [name_f]Maddie[/name_f]? You like the name and it has a nn that is very close to [name_f]Maggie[/name_f]. Some other names you might like: [name_f]Rose[/name_f], [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f], [name_f]Juliet[/name_f], [name_f]Claire[/name_f], [name_f]Lucy[/name_f], [name_f]Eve[/name_f], [name_f]Caroline[/name_f], [name_f]Josephine[/name_f], [name_f]Eliza[/name_f], or [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f].
