So, we are having our 4th baby in [name_u]January[/name_u]. We usually pick unusual names that sound sort of normal. We have a Daylin, Novalee, and an Emeric. My husband and I like Meradee (nickname [name_f]Mera[/name_f]) or Caradee (nickname [name_f]Cara[/name_f]). Middle name would be [name_f]Rose[/name_f]. Please keep the comments kind, I’m just looking for a poll on who prefers what, and we are open to suggestions of new names that fit along the lines of our choices. Thanks in advance!!
I should also mention how we plan to pronounce them. “[name_f]Mar[/name_f]-ah-dee” and “Care-ah-dee.”
I prefer Meradee of the two, I like to sound of it but I’m not sure the pronunciation is very intuitive with the spelling. [name_f]Mera[/name_f] is cute.

What about Eislee/[name_u]Leigh[/name_u]/Ley or Enslee/[name_u]Leigh[/name_u]/Ley? I don’t like either name. They will constantly get mispronounced.
I actually like Meradee a lot, but I would spell it Meradie and pronounce it [name_f]MARE[/name_f]-uh-dee (like [name_u]Meredith[/name_u] with the ending changed).
I like the sound of Meradee and the nickname, but I think spelling it Maradie or perhaps Meradie would get you closer to your intended pronunciation.
I also really like Meridy (prefer that spelling and pronunciation), I knew someone from South [name_f]Africa[/name_f] with that name. Very nice!
Good luck to you, can’t help as your style is totally incompatible with mine!
Thanks everyone, for the suggestions and input on spelling. We are leaning towards the sound of Meradee as well. I’ve also seen it spelled Merridy or Meridee. But I like the nickname [name_f]Mera[/name_f], instead of [name_f]Merry[/name_f], which is why I leaned towards the Meradee spellings.
