We have a wonderful little [name_m]Nicholas[/name_m] [name_m]Lynton[/name_m] Sutherland
If his little sibling was going to be a sister she would have been [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] (though [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] and [name_f]Astrid[/name_f] were still in the running) but seeing as he’s going to have a little brother we are having a hard time.
We’re somewhat down to:
[name_m]Harold[/name_m] ([name_m]Harry[/name_m])
[name_m]Patrick[/name_m]
[name_m]Hugo[/name_m]
[name_m]Jasper[/name_m]
[name_u]Owen[/name_u]
[name_m]Piet[/name_m]
[name_m]Piers[/name_m]
[name_m]Conrad[/name_m]
Middle name will probably be either [name_m]Fletcher[/name_m] or [name_m]Fitzroy[/name_m] though [name_m]Fitzroy[/name_m] ([name_m]Fitz[/name_m]) may work as a first name too.
I’d say [name_m]Nicholas[/name_m] [name_m]Lynton[/name_m] and [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] [name_m]Fletcher[/name_m] are my favorite sibset. But if you use the nickname [name_u]Nick[/name_u] and [name_m]Rick[/name_m], that doesn’t work so well. [name_m]Harold[/name_m] or [name_u]Owen[/name_u] work also, the others don’t mesh as much stylistically, but don’t let that stop you if you love a name.
A pal for [name_m]Nicholas[/name_m] [name_m]Lynton[/name_m] Sutherland (lovely name BTW):
From your list my faves are [name_u]Owen[/name_u] & [name_m]Conrad[/name_m], and I think they both go well with either [name_m]Fletcher[/name_m] or [name_m]Fitzroy[/name_m].
I assume [name_m]Fletcher[/name_m] and [name_m]Fitzroy[/name_m] are family surnames but just in case, I wouldn’t use [name_m]Fitzroy[/name_m] in the first spot. As you doubtless know it means ‘bastard son of the king.’
[name_m]Nicholas[/name_m] has a classic and saintly feel, for which the best match is indeed [name_m]Patrick[/name_m], but that does ring Catholic if your family is not.
[name_m]Piet[/name_m] is far too Dutch; [name_m]Piers[/name_m] looks more like the jetties at the seaside rather than the medieval form of [name_m]Pierce[/name_m]. [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] and [name_m]Harold[/name_m] are too heavy for [name_m]Nicholas[/name_m], but I do like cheerful [name_u]Owen[/name_u] or more stately [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] there.
