I don’t see you having an issue with it. [name_f]Julia[/name_f] and [name_f]Juliana[/name_f] are practically the same name and your [name_m]Rabbi[/name_m] didn’t seem to think it was much of an issue. Did you ask her about it? Honestly if I hadn’t studied Russian I wouldn’t have even been able to understand how [name_u]Sasha[/name_u] was a nickname for [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f]. And [name_u]Sasha[/name_u] is a pretty standalone name now.

I think you should ask your [name_m]Rabbi[/name_m]. Because honestly [name_f]Juliana[/name_f] and [name_f]Julia[/name_f] are much more easily connected than [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] and [name_u]Sasha[/name_u]…I think you could get away with it!

Well, I’m Ashkenazi myself and in my family/families I know it tends to be 1) [name_m]Don[/name_m]'t repeat the HEBREW name and b) maybe try to avoid repeating the exact same English name amongst very close family but variants? Meh. I wouldn’t name a daughter after my sister but I’m not concerned about having a [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] while she’s a [name_f]Rose[/name_f]. At all. I don’t know anyone who’d care.

And then there’s the people who don’t know [name_u]Sasha[/name_u] is a form of [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f].

You could use [name_u]Sasha[/name_u] if you wanted.

It’s usable in that sense, but I think it’s the worst name on your list, no offense. [name_f]Juliet[/name_f], [name_f]Juliana[/name_f], [name_u]Ruby[/name_u], and [name_f]Noa[/name_f] are all beautiful. [name_u]Sasha[/name_u]'s pretty meh at best, and not as pretty as [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f].

I voted [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Noa[/name_f] because I adore [name_f]Noa[/name_f] and [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] goes well with [name_f]Layla[/name_f] and [name_f]Elyse[/name_f].
