First baby, a little girl due way too soon in [name_u]March[/name_u] and I can’t find a girls name I like.
The only name I kind of like is the nn [name_u]Rue[/name_u], but I don’t like [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] or [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] as a full name. I came across the name [name_m]Rune[/name_m] here, does it work for a girl though? Any other suggestions? I like short punchy names. For boys I like [name_m]Amos[/name_m] or Aero.
My family traditionally have two middle names and I would like one to be a family name (it’s between [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], [name_f]Margaret[/name_f], [name_f]Olive[/name_f], [name_f]Jayne[/name_f], [name_f]Alice[/name_f], or [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]). Apart from that I have no real clue. Last name is common starting with K.
I think [name_m]Rune[/name_m] could work well on a girl when paired with (at least) one feminine middle name.
With [name_m]Rune[/name_m] I seem to be drawn to a longer first middle, and a shorter second middle to balance things out. Suggestions:
[name_m]Rune[/name_m] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f]
[name_m]Rune[/name_m] [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f] [name_f]Jayne[/name_f]
[name_m]Rune[/name_m] [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Belle[/name_f]
[name_m]Rune[/name_m] [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] [name_f]Olive[/name_f]
[name_m]Rune[/name_m] [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] [name_f]Alice[/name_f]
[name_m]Rune[/name_m] [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]
[name_m]Rune[/name_m] [name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f]
[name_m]Rune[/name_m] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] [name_f]Margo[/name_f]
[name_m]Rune[/name_m] [name_f]Ava[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] or [name_m]Rune[/name_m] [name_f]Ava[/name_f] [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f]
[name_m]Rune[/name_m] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f]
Others to get the nn [name_u]Rue[/name_u]:
[name_f]Ruth[/name_f]
[name_u]Rudy[/name_u]
[name_f]Ruelle[/name_f]
Or, failing all that…might I suggest using her initials to get to [name_u]Rue[/name_u] - for example [name_f]Rachel[/name_f] [name_f]Ursula[/name_f] [name_f]Eve[/name_f]
[name_m]Rune[/name_m] is a name that’s been in my signature for a while, so of course I would think it’s perfect for a girl. It’s so soft sounding and sweet. If you want the nickname [name_u]Rue[/name_u], it would definitely be a good choice. As for middles:
[name_m]Rune[/name_m] [name_f]Helena[/name_f] [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]
[name_m]Rune[/name_m] [name_f]Mariana[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f]
[name_m]Rune[/name_m] [name_f]Violetta[/name_f] [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]
[name_m]Rune[/name_m] [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] [name_f]Olive[/name_f]
[name_m]Rune[/name_m] [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] [name_f]Alice[/name_f]
[name_m]Rune[/name_m] [name_f]Dorothy[/name_f] [name_f]Jayne[/name_f]
[name_m]Rune[/name_m] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]
[name_m]Rune[/name_m] [name_f]Georgina[/name_f] [name_f]Olive[/name_f]
[name_m]Rune[/name_m] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Stella[/name_f]
[name_m]Rune[/name_m] [name_f]Francesca[/name_f] [name_f]Alice[/name_f]
[name_m]Rune[/name_m] [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_f]Jayne[/name_f]
Hopefully, these aren’t too over the top for you.
(P.S. I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_m]Amos[/name_m] and Aero.)
Where I’m from, [name_m]Rune[/name_m] is strictly a boys name. The feminine version would be Runa, which I quite like, but I do not fancy [name_m]Rune[/name_m] on a boy, so especially not for a girl.
I really like the suggestion of Runa, or using the initials [name_u]RUE[/name_u]. Either of those options are what I would go with. You could also use [name_u]Drew[/name_u], [name_f]Gertrude[/name_f], [name_f]Prue[/name_f], [name_f]Prudence[/name_f], [name_f]Ruth[/name_f], Ruella, Rumina, [name_u]Truly[/name_u], etc.
I think [name_u]Rue[/name_u] can stand on it’s own and prefer it to [name_m]Rune[/name_m]. I also like [name_f]Prudence[/name_f] and Roonie/Roona. Good luck!
I like Rue on its own as well. I also like the suggestions of Runa and Ruelle. My friend has little girl named Rosie and she sometimes call her Rue or Rue Rue so that might work as well. Rosie, Rose, Rosa, Rosalie etc…
