We are having a much more difficult time naming our daughter than we ever anticipated. Brothers are [name]Ethan[/name] and [name]Mason[/name]. Last name starts with an H. Our three finalists at this point–with less than 8 weeks to go are:
[name]Rose[/name] and [name]Isabelle[/name] are family names. We do want her to have a “flower” somewhere in her name to honor my dad who has passed away. He was an avid gardener, and loved to plant flowers/vegetables, and watch them grow and flourish.
[name]Hadley[/name] [name]Rose[/name] is pretty! [name]Lillian[/name] [name]Rose[/name] too. Comes down to whether you want something very feminine or more spunky. Since its your first girl I think your options are wide open.
Other flower ideas:
[name]Laurel[/name]
[name]Ivy[/name] (I think [name]Ethan[/name], [name]Mason[/name], and [name]Ivy[/name] sound really cool together for some reason!)
[name]Violet[/name]
[name]Calla[/name]
[name]Daisy[/name]
[name]Isabelle[/name] [name]Violet[/name] is super pretty for me. I think the only double flower Id try to get away with is [name]Laurel[/name] [name]Rose[/name] since [name]Laurel[/name] doesnt feel frilly/floral to me.
[name]Lily[/name] [name]Rose[/name] is [name]Johnny[/name] Depp’s daughter’s name- don’t know whether that sort of thing would bother you. It is very cute though. Personally I’m leaning toward [name]Hadley[/name] [name]Rose[/name], but it’s close between those 2 for me!
I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Hadley[/name] [name]Rose[/name] and [name]Lillian[/name] [name]Rose[/name]! They are both so beautiful! I also really like [name]Lillian[/name] [name]Isabelle[/name]. Can not go wrong with all three.
[name]Lillian[/name] [name]Isabelle[/name] is lovely, sweet and very girly! I like [name]Lily[/name] [name]Belle[/name]! [name]How[/name] cute!
For you, I thought that [name]Vivian[/name]/[name]Vivienne[/name] coupled with a floral/botanical name would also be a lovely tribute to your gardener father, as [name]Vivian[/name] means “life”. I like:
I also like middle names like [name]Blossom[/name] or Bloom for you. But really, your current list is lovely. I just couldn’t help putting my two cents in…I love floral names!
There are a lot of options that have a nn of [name]Lily[/name].
[name]Lilliana[/name], [name]Lillith[/name], etc. I tend to like those better than [name]Lillian[/name], as that sounds a bit outdated to me.
I wouldn’t choose [name]Hadley[/name] with an H last name.
I’m torn! I utterly love all three. I think I like [name]Hadley[/name] best in this case, though, so [name]Hadley[/name] [name]Rose[/name] gets my vote. I would love to see [name]Hadley[/name] [name]Isabelle[/name] [name]Rose[/name], though!
Much prefer [name]Isabelle[/name], [name]Rose[/name] and [name]Lily[/name] to [name]Hadley[/name]. Any combination of those 3 would be very sweet and classy, I think it would age well too. [name]Hadley[/name] seems to have a totally different feel - as if it could easily be another son - and I would avoid alliterative first and surnames if poss. There are loads of flower themed names to choose from, as others have mentioned, if you want further ideas. I could add [name]Briony[/name], [name]Clover[/name], [name]Clematis[/name], [name]Delfine[/name]… and that’s literally from just opening a babyname book at random! Good luck!
To me, [name]Lily[/name] [name]Rose[/name] is a little too flowery. Not a big fan of [name]Hadley[/name]. [name]Lillian[/name] [name]Isabelle[/name] is absolutely gorgeous. A few more recommended flower names: [name]Clover[/name] (such a cute mn), [name]Daisy[/name], [name]Violet[/name], [name]Ivy[/name] and [name]Primrose[/name]. I think all of those work with mn [name]Isabelle[/name].
Like [name]Hadley[/name] but it’s unisex and because the boys names are softer, I’d go undeniably fem for your daughter.
There are too many -n for my liking with [name]Ethan[/name], [name]Mason[/name], [name]Lilian[/name]. What about just [name]Lily[/name] or [name]Lila[/name]?
I think [name]Lillian[/name] sounds a little outdated but I do think [name]Lilly[/name] [name]Belle[/name] sounds cute for a nickname. Out of your three I would choose [name]Lillian[/name] [name]Isabelle[/name], but maybe you would like [name]Lilyana[/name] instead of [name]Lillian[/name]?They are all nice names though. Good luck and congrats on having a girl!
I like [name]Lillian[/name] [name]Rose[/name], then [name]Lillian[/name] [name]Isabelle[/name], then [name]Hadley[/name] [name]Rose[/name]. I really like them all. It’s hard to say how [name]Hadley[/name] will sound with a H ln without actually knowing your ln. I know sisters named [name]Hayden[/name] and [name]Harper[/name] whose ln starts with H and makes it quite a tongue twister. But maybe yours doesn’t sound so strange with [name]Hadley[/name].
With 2 big brothers, I think baby girl needs a beautiful, feminine name so that she’s not “one of the boys”.
My favorite from your list is [name]Lilian[/name] [name]Isabelle[/name] and the nickname of [name]Lily[/name] [name]Belle[/name] is super cute too!
I think [name]Lillian[/name] [name]Rose[/name] is too many flowers too.
