Need help naming our little girl

Hello , everyone. A good friend recommended me the name berry forums to look for help to name my baby girl. She’s my first born and the naming is tricky. My wife and I agreed on [name_f]Anya[/name_f] for a girl and [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] for a boy until we moved to the UK and got a little bit of information in english history. Or last name is Boleyn, therefore [name_f]Anya[/name_f] is too close to [name_f]Anne[/name_f]. Though it’s not enough to make us fall out of love with the combination and the name, we would like to explore other options too.

[name_f]Do[/name_f] you think the name being close is a problem?
What middle names would you suggest we try? (We thought of [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] but that’s [name_f]Anne[/name_f]'s daughter’s name so maybe a bit too close, not that we mind)
What other names would you suggest for us?

Thank you in advance.

I think you could get away with it but maybe I’m biased because i love [name_f]Anya[/name_f] so much

Some other names:
[name_f]Nadia[/name_f]
[name_f]Lara[/name_f]
[name_f]Alba[/name_f]
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]
[name_f]Alice[/name_f]
[name_f]Thea[/name_f]
[name_f]Natasha[/name_f]
[name_f]Amelie[/name_f]
[name_f]Amalia[/name_f]
[name_f]Nina[/name_f]
[name_f]Nancy[/name_f]
[name_f]Talia[/name_f]
[name_f]Mina[/name_f]
[name_f]Tilda[/name_f]

Great last name! I do think I would avoid [name_f]Anya[/name_f] and [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] in order to give her a name that’s more her own.

Others:
[name_f]Leonora[/name_f]
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]
[name_f]Margaret[/name_f]
[name_f]Violet[/name_f]
[name_f]Rose[/name_f]
[name_f]Eve[/name_f]
[name_f]Clara[/name_f]
[name_f]Grace[/name_f]

I think it’s fine! If you were thinking about [name_f]Anne[/name_f], I’d say avoid it, but [name_f]Anya[/name_f] seems different enough to me, especially if you love it so much that it was your first choice

I don´t think it matters but I´m also not from the UK. I like [name_f]Anya[/name_f] and I love [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]!

Similar names:

[name_f]Eliza[/name_f]
[name_f]Anouk[/name_f]
[name_f]Annabel[/name_f]
[name_f]Annelise[/name_f]
[name_f]Clara[/name_f]
[name_u]June[/name_u]
[name_f]Adelaide[/name_f]
[name_f]Ada[/name_f]
[name_f]Layla[/name_f]
[name_f]Olive[/name_f]
[name_u]Sierra[/name_u]
[name_f]Abigail[/name_f]
[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]/[name_f]Sylvia[/name_f]
[name_f]Nell[/name_f]
[name_f]Sabine[/name_f]
[name_f]Alessia[/name_f]

[name_f]Anya[/name_f] is perfect imo! Most people probably won’t make the connection since the name isn’t [name_f]Anne[/name_f] Boleyn directly.

Middle Name Ideas;

[name_f]Anya[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f]
[name_f]Anya[/name_f] [name_f]Paige[/name_f]
[name_f]Anya[/name_f] [name_f]Penelope[/name_f]
[name_f]Anya[/name_f] [name_f]Daisy[/name_f]
[name_f]Anya[/name_f] [name_f]Emily[/name_f]
[name_f]Anya[/name_f] [name_f]Harriet[/name_f]
[name_f]Anya[/name_f] [name_f]Florence[/name_f]

I would avoid it to prevent any negative connotations, though [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] seems fine. Some suggestions are:
[name_f]Ingrid[/name_f]
[name_f]Claire[/name_f]
[name_u]Sasha[/name_u]
[name_f]Tatiana[/name_f]
[name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] (I think it’s different enough from [name_f]Anne[/name_f])
[name_f]Angelina[/name_f]
[name_f]Angelica[/name_f]
[name_f]Diana[/name_f]
[name_f]Liliya[/name_f]
[name_f]Varya[/name_f]

I like these combinations the most:
[name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Liliya[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Varya[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]

Congrats on your first born and good luck with choosing a name!

What about [name_f]Annika[/name_f]? I think [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is fine but [name_f]Anya[/name_f] maybe a little too close.

Some possibilities that seem to fit your style:

[name_f]Celia[/name_f]
[name_f]Lydia[/name_f]
[name_f]Elena[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucia[/name_f]
[name_f]Nora[/name_f]
[name_f]Amelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Julia[/name_f]

I love the name [name_f]Anya[/name_f], and I think you should just use it it if that’s your favorite. One of my daughters is named [name_f]Sonia[/name_f], which rhymes with [name_f]Anya[/name_f], maybe you’d like that too. There’s also ”ine which is pronounced like OWN-ya instead of ON-ya. I think it could be spelled Onya as well. Good luck!
