I have a daughter named [name]Ava[/name] [name]Rose[/name]. I am expecting twin girls in about 10 weeks and I’m starting to freak out because I don’t have both names yet!! I don’t want them to be matchy, rhyme with each other, or start with A.
Twin A will be called [name]Taylor[/name] [name]Marie[/name]…
With [name]Ava[/name]'s popularity, I’d personally go with something less popular, but just as classic, feminine, and gorgeous. I understand you’re planning to name your little girl [name]Taylor[/name], but I just want to mention that [name]Taylor[/name] is already really dated (1990s). (You can read about it by typing it into the “Check out a name” box at the left.)
Wouldn’t you like your twins to have names that “mesh”? Everyone will be saying their names together for quite some time. If one is completley different from the other not only in style, but also popularity, one twin will have the task of having to explain her name (pronunciation, background, etc) while the other gets cast aside. It might make twin life a tad difficult if one is always getting cast into the shadows.
Since [name]Taylor[/name] is a little bit of a unisex name (IMHO) and [name]Marie[/name] is a traditional name, maybe try the same approach with twin two. Maybe consider:
I agree that since [name]Taylor[/name] is considered unisex (though I know more girl Taylors ) maybe her sister should have a unisex name too, and a girly middle name. Maybe something like:
I liked a previous suggestion of [name]Riley[/name] [name]Jane[/name]. [name]Ava[/name] [name]Rose[/name], [name]Taylor[/name] [name]Marie[/name], & [name]Rylee[/name] (I’m a fan of this spelling) [name]Jane[/name] make a great sibset. Congratulations on your twins!
I am also not a [name]Taylor[/name] fan. Here are some suggestions that could compliment [name]Ava[/name] that have the Ta sound. [name]Ava[/name] is so beautiful but since it’s so popular, I think that having another megapopular name from another decade like [name]Taylor[/name] that is of a different style just clashes a bit too much. I agree with some of the other posters that have suggested more feminine and luxe names:
[name]Ava[/name] and [name]Tallulah[/name]
[name]Ava[/name] and [name]Tasha[/name]
[name]Ava[/name] and [name]Taline[/name]
[name]Ava[/name] and [name]Tania[/name]
[name]Ava[/name] and [name]Taliesin/name- I love this, it’s Welsh and means shining brow
[name]Ava[/name] and [name]Tamsin[/name]- also one of my favorites and yes it means twin
[name]Ava[/name] and [name]Tabitha[/name]
[name]Ava[/name] and [name]Tahlia[/name]
[name]Ava[/name] and [name]Thalia[/name]
[name]Ava[/name] and [name]Tala[/name]
I think [name]Taylor[/name] is a beautiful name. I liked someone’s suggestion of [name]Ava[/name], [name]Taylor[/name] and [name]Peyton[/name] and I also like [name]Eden[/name].
Also, you may want to consider [name]Reagan[/name] or [name]Cameron[/name].
And just putting it out there: [name]Scarlett[/name], [name]Veronica[/name], [name]Charlotte[/name], [name]Bridget[/name]
[name]Riley[/name] (I think another name with a y in it would look sweet with [name]Taylor[/name])
[name]Lucy[/name]
[name]Lily[/name]
(I like [name]May[/name] as a middle name for these girls)
Other ideas to go with [name]Ava[/name] and [name]Taylor[/name]:
[name]Claire[/name] (This sounds good because all three names have a long “a” sound)
[name]Morgan[/name]
[name]Lauren[/name]
[name]Lillian[/name]
