I also like [name_m]Beckett[/name_m] & [name_m]Karter[/name_m] (prefer [name_u]Carter[/name_u] though).
I dislike:
[name_u]Avery[/name_u] - prefer for a girl
[name_m]Ransom[/name_m] – just seems like such a negative word
Lot – I think of a parking lot
[name_m]Archer[/name_m] – just not a fan
[name_m]Isaiah[/name_m] – too biblical for my tastes, although I do like [name_m]Elijah[/name_m].
I prefer [name_m]Joseph[/name_m] as MN than a FN but it fits as either.
I have closer to a top 10 but will narrow it down to a top 5.
[name_m]Archer[/name_m]
[name_m]Pierce[/name_m] - although I prefer the softer sound of [name_m]Piers[/name_m]
[name_u]Rhys[/name_u]
[name_m]Lincoln[/name_m]
[name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]
[name_m]Wilder[/name_m] - adore, is my top GP name
My least favorite are -
[name_m]Quade[/name_m]
[name_m]Knox[/name_m] - personally would only use as a middle name
Lot
[name_m]Ransom[/name_m]
I love [name_u]Carter[/name_u] but not the spelling [name_m]Karter[/name_m].
Some names are a bit of a stretch but we kind of liked them and wanted the outside world other than immediate family that says yes to everything… My personal top 5 are
[name_m]Joseph[/name_m] [name_m]Wilder[/name_m]
[name_m]Archer[/name_m] [name_m]Joseph[/name_m]
[name_u]Avery[/name_u] [name_m]Joseph[/name_m]
[name_m]Joseph[/name_m] [name_m]Madden[/name_m]
& my 5th we would use my Grandpa’s name and it would be [name_m]Lewis[/name_m] [name_m]Quade[/name_m]
Maybe thru some of my names you can figure out our style a little bit and maybe there are some other names that we overlooked that would go good with [name_m]Joseph[/name_m].
And thanks to the ones who have welcomed me aboard, this is our first child and we are beyond happy after years of trying.
[name_m]Archer[/name_m] [name_m]Joseph[/name_m]
[name_m]Beckett[/name_m] [name_m]Joseph[/name_m]
[name_u]Rhys[/name_u] [name_m]Joseph[/name_m] (love this spelling of [name_u]Rhys[/name_u] for a boy!)
[name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] [name_m]Joseph[/name_m] (I really love the nn [name_m]Baz[/name_m])
And I kind of love [name_m]Madden[/name_m] but also worry because it can be used as a negative verb (“to madden”, “maddening”, etc).
And I would put [name_u]Carter[/name_u]-with-a-C [name_m]Joseph[/name_m] on that list if it’s an option - it’s one of the surname names that I’ve really grown to like, but the K spelling looks misspelled because cart and carton and carter are words while kart and karton and karter are not.
And I just saw your more recent post, and I freaking [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_m]Lewis[/name_m] as a first name. [name_m]Lewis[/name_m] [name_m]Quade[/name_m], [name_m]Lewis[/name_m] [name_m]Joseph[/name_m], [name_m]Lewis[/name_m] [name_m]Beckett[/name_m], [name_m]Lewis[/name_m] [name_m]Madden[/name_m]… love it.
The ones I really dislike (if you’re not interested, feel free to stop reading):
[name_m]Ransom[/name_m] (sounds like part of a kidnapping)
Lot (I assume you’re going for the biblical name but it’s used to much as a word that I wouldn’t touch it as a name)
[name_m]Maverick[/name_m] (I think it would look really weird on a really shy, quiet, obedient kid, which you may end up with here)
