Need help pairing with last name

[name]Hi[/name] all!

We’re having a bit of trouble finding something we really like to go with our last name, Fairweather. It already carries imagery of it’s own and at three syllables would be a mouthful paired with anything long for a first name. The wife and I are big into nerd culture: science fiction/astronomy/fantasy/comics/gaming but more than likely only want to squeeze that passion into a middle name rather than the first unless it’s pretty normal sounding. Also we plan on being surprised to the very end so we need to come to consensus on both potential genders…

Here’s a rough list of what we currently like, in descending order from normal to wild:

Boys
[ul]

[/ul]

Girls

[/ul]

WDYT? As you can see we were shooting for relatively short names to go with our last. Any off-list suggestions would be most welcome. Thanks for your help!

I kind of think Fairweather is a bit of a mouthful and requires a sing-songy first name to gain flow. [name]Logan[/name] Fairweather feels like a potato in my mouth, but [name]Sirius[/name] Fairweather rolls of the tongue. He’s my favourite. The monosyllabic names with long Fairweather sound choppy and unbalanced, and Hawke and [name]Fox[/name] makes for too much nature [name]IMO[/name]. [name]Samuel[/name] sounds nice as well, but I don’t like him as much as [name]Sirius[/name].

For your girls names I personally don’t like the short names with V’s up against the dominant F and the upcoming W in Fairweather. V’s and F’s have a similar sound and I feel like I stumble on them. Not taking that into account, [name]Nova[/name] is my favourite on the list. [name]Juno[/name] Fairweather would probably be my choice, but [name]Mira[/name] Fairweather flows better if pronounced MEE-ra.

Now that I think about it, I thnik it might be the I’s in [name]Sirius[/name] and [name]Mira[/name] that I like. They lighten Fairweather for some reason.

Thanks for the insight! It’s funny you say sing-songy as my wife [name]Heather[/name] became [name]Heather[/name] Fairweather and everyone kinda smiles at her when they say it. I’m not sure she appreciates the rhyme as much as everyone else seems to

[name]Heather[/name] Fairweather is adorable  If there were people here with me, they would probably wonder why I’m twitching with delight.
I would offer suggestions, but I don’t have my lists handy. I might do that later though, the lists you have so far are very fun
