I’m writing and can’t seem to pick a name for the main character. So far I’ve thought of [name_u]Eden[/name_u], [name_u]Everest[/name_u], [name_f]Eliana[/name_f], and [name_f]Elowyn[/name_f]
I like [name_u]Eden[/name_u] and [name_f]Eliana[/name_f]! What is the setting (modern, historial, fantasy, realism, etc). What helps me the most with naming a character is fleshing out their childhood backstory so I can think of what name their parents would pick, and what that naming style says about their parents.

It depends on the age of your character or the years the story takes place. A pet peeve of mine is reading a story where the character has a name that wasn’t used at that time. Maybe search out name popularity during that time frame?
