Need help to find name that goes with our last name!

We recently found out we are expecting #3 and have been trying to find the perfect girl name - but every name I really like i feel like there is an asterisk next to it because none of them work with our last name. HELP. We have 2 boys [name]Dash[/name] and [name]Mack[/name] which might show you our style somewhat. I’m looking for opinions on my list and any new suggestions would be great too!

Our last name starts with a P and is the same name as the guy that heads the Catholic church.

[name]Romy[/name] - my favorite girl name ever but #1 my name is [name]Michelle[/name] ([name]Romy[/name] & [name]Michelle[/name]'s High School Reunion anyone?) and #2 The Pope lives in [name]Rome[/name]. is it even usable?

[name]Poppy[/name] - way too many P’s and it sounds like a cartoon character

[name]Penelope[/name] - my DH hates the 2 P names…i don’t think this sounds as bad as [name]Poppy[/name]

other names on my very short list that I could live with

[name]Soleil[/name]
[name]Molly[/name] (too common?)
[name]Briar[/name]
[name]Waverly[/name]

[name]Romy[/name]- I’ve never heard of [name]Romy[/name] & [name]Michelle[/name]'s High School Reunion, but that might just be because of my age (I’m only a teenager). I think that the whole [name]Romy[/name]/[name]Rome[/name]/Pope thing might be a bit much though. It’s too bad because [name]Romy[/name] is a really nice name.

[name]Poppy[/name]- definitely too many P’s.

[name]Penelope[/name]- again, there are lots of P’s. I agree that it’s not as bad as [name]Poppy[/name] but it’s still a bit much. Also, while [name]Penelope[/name] is a nice name, I think the fact the Kardashians used it will cause it to skyrocket. Your [name]Penelope[/name] might be one of many.

[name]Soleil[/name]- don’t like this very much but it’s not horrible.
[name]Molly[/name]- I don’t think it’s too common and it sounds very nice with your surname.
[name]Briar[/name]- to me, this belongs in the boys’ category.
[name]Waverly[/name]- very pretty and unique, and again sounds great with your surname.

Is it possible to use [name]Romy[/name] as a nickname for something else? From what I see it started out as a nickname for [name]Rosemary[/name], but I prefer [name]Andromeda[/name]. Maybe [name]Rosamund[/name] too.

I don’t mind alliteration in names as a rule. [name]Poppy[/name] would be too much, but I could see [name]Penelope[/name] working.

I think [name]Romy[/name] would be totally fine. I probably wouldn’t think of [name]Romy[/name] and [name]Michelle[/name] unless I saw it written down. But I wouldn’t really think it was cheesy because they aren’t really super out there names. Anyway, I really like [name]Romy[/name]. I get what you are saying about the pope thing… I don’t think it’s a big deal, but at the same time I don’t think I would use it… But what about [name]Romilly[/name] or [name]Remy[/name]? [name]Both[/name] are similar and super cute, and I like both with your last name.

I like [name]Poppy[/name], but I don’t really see it as a full name. It’s very little girl to me and I do not see this working with your last name.

I really dislike [name]Penelope[/name], but most people seem to really love it and it does have some great potential nns. I do think [name]Penelope[/name] Pope is a bit much.

[name]Soleil[/name] - It’s pretty, but all I can think of is [name]Soleil[/name] [name]Moon[/name] Frye and I’m honestly pretty young to even know who that is.

[name]Molly[/name] - It is nice with your surname; however, I don’t think the style works with your boys’ names (which I really, really like btw).

[name]Briar[/name] and [name]Waverly[/name] are both NMS, but would sound nice with your last name.

I would personally go the [name]Romy[/name]/[name]Romilly[/name]/[name]Remy[/name] route, they go really nice with [name]Dash[/name] and [name]Mack[/name]… I think my favorite is actually [name]Remy[/name] - [name]Dash[/name], [name]Mack[/name] and [name]Remy[/name]!

Instead of [name]Romy[/name], could you use Romily instead? I think having the longer name would help in not having the [name]Rome[/name] Pope issue. [name]Soleil[/name] and [name]Briar[/name] are nms. So I like [name]Molly[/name] and [name]Waverly[/name] the best from the rest on your list. Here are some other suggestions:

[name]Arden[/name]
[name]Audrey[/name]
[name]Avery[/name]
[name]Avis[/name]
[name]Carly[/name]
[name]Clara[/name]
[name]Clary[/name]
[name]Eden[/name]
[name]Elise[/name]
[name]Esme[/name]
[name]Fiona[/name]
[name]Isla[/name]
[name]Ivy[/name]
[name]Lane[/name]
[name]Liza[/name]
[name]Lucy[/name]
[name]Matilda[/name]
[name]Nell[/name]
[name]Phoebe[/name]
[name]Rowan[/name]
[name]Stella[/name]
[name]Sydney[/name]
[name]Tess[/name]
[name]Viveca[/name]
[name]Willa[/name]
[name]Zara[/name]

I would use [name]Roma[/name] Pope. I think it sounds pretty, it’s close to [name]Romy[/name] without the movie reference and I do not think it’s off limits just because of your last name. I like it better with your last name than I do with mine actually.

I agree that your top 3 names unfortunately don’t work well with your surname =(
however [name]Soleil[/name] and [name]Molly[/name] are both very sweet names that sound great with Pope. A few other suggestions:
[name]Gwendolyn[/name]
[name]Leona[/name]
[name]Greer[/name]
[name]Harlow[/name]
[name]Sloane[/name]
[name]Quinn[/name]

OR I love the idea of [name]Catherine[/name] nn [name]Cat[/name] with your last name & sibset. Gives her a classic, solid full name that sounds great with your single syllable last along with a fun, hip name that keeps up & fits well with her brothers.

Out of your three favorites, I love [name]Penelope[/name] <3 But I agree, none of them work with your last name.

Out of the short list, my absolute favorite is Soleil, but Molly works best with your last name. HOWEVER, as I’m not a fan of double initials (your son is Mack, therefore it would be Dash, Mack & Molly), my pick is definitely Soleil <3

[name]Romy[/name] Pe - I think that’s too holy roman emperor
[name]Poppy[/name] P
e - way too many P’s
[name]Penelope[/name] P**e - better, but still too many P’s, especially since the 1st letter and the last 3 are the same

[name]Soleil[/name] Pe - okay, seems a bit more hippy than [name]Mack[/name] and [name]Dash[/name], but [name]Leila[/name] could work as a nn.
[name]Molly[/name] P
e - I admit that I think this is a beautiful combo, it is a bit more regular than your others but the flow is great
[name]Briar[/name] Pe - this has a great flow as well, though it almost has the opposite issue as [name]Molly[/name] since it’s a bit stranger than [name]Mack[/name] and [name]Dash[/name]. It is very pretty though
[name]Waverly[/name] P
e - I think this is my favorite of your group when consider your other names, [name]Avery[/name] as a nn? or [name]Vera[/name]?

Others: [name]Lilac[/name], [name]Maple[/name], [name]Coral[/name], [name]Holly[/name], [name]Liberty[/name], [name]Macy[/name]

I agree with a pp. What about Romily or [name]Romilly[/name]?
You could still call her [name]Romy[/name] but her full name would be [name]Romilly[/name] P@pe.

Thanks Everyone!! I totally would use the name [name]Romilly[/name] but every time I mention it to my husband he looks at me like I am crazy! I have lots of months to work on him though! I really like the suggestion of [name]Calla[/name] too! I have always loved [name]Molly[/name] but it is number 78 on the social security list and my other boys aren’t even really in the top 1000. is that too much of a difference?

My favorite of your name choices is [name]Molly[/name] - I like the way it flows with your last name. I also like the flow of [name]Waverly[/name] with your last name, but I’m not at all a fan of the name.
Other suggestions (sorry for repeats):
