Hey! I need help naming a main character in his yearly to mid 20’s. He will eventually meet an ill fate. He is a serious man with a tortured soul but still a lovable character. He’s an artist. I have struggled to find the perfect name for him so I have been using the default ‘[name_m]John[/name_m]’. I sorta like [name_m]Felix[/name_m] but it’s not ‘the one’. He has two sisters [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Alice[/name_f], mothers name is [name_f]Matilda[/name_f], fathers name is [name_m]Ralph[/name_m] other character’s include [name_u]Dexter[/name_u], [name_m]Ben[/name_m], Uncle [name_m]Monty[/name_m], Grandpa [name_m]Edgar[/name_m], [name_m]Wayne[/name_m], [name_m]Jack[/name_m], [name_m]Patrick[/name_m], [name_m]Henry[/name_m], [name_m]Adam[/name_m], [name_m]Frank[/name_m], [name_m]Abraham[/name_m], [name_u]Evan[/name_u], [name_m]Victor[/name_m], [name_u]Alex[/name_u], [name_u]Chris[/name_u], [name_u]Ryan[/name_u], [name_f]Maggie[/name_f], Grandma [name_f]Elma[/name_f], [name_f]Marcella[/name_f], Aunt [name_f]Florrie[/name_f] ‘[name_f]Florence[/name_f]’, [name_f]Selena[/name_f], [name_f]Edith[/name_f], [name_f]Amy[/name_f], and [name_u]Jo[/name_u] ‘[name_f]Josephine[/name_f]’ his love interest. Some character’s are just people he meets along the way in the story and don’t have a super big role. I’d really appreciate any ideas you have, just throw out as many names as you can think of. I’ll add them to my list.
Although most often thought of as a girls’ name, unisex [name_f]Mallory[/name_f]/[name_f]Malory[/name_f] could work for your character, as it means unfortunate or unlucky. More unisex names with not-so-great meanings include [name_u]Sloane[/name_u], [name_u]Blaise[/name_u], or [name_u]Cameron[/name_u]. A boys’ name that I think would fit your character is [name_m]Jabez[/name_m], which means born in pain. However, most of the other characters in your story have more common names, and they are more gender-specific, instead of unisex. I think out of the 5 I listed, the best for your male character is [name_u]Cameron[/name_u]. If you aren’t attached to having a male character, my choice would be [name_u]Sloane[/name_u].
I agree with racheltheworm15 that [name_f]Mallory[/name_f] might work. Especially if you could explain it as being his mother’s maiden name or something.

[name_m]Tobias[/name_m] strikes me as being spot-on from your description of the character. [name_m]Silas[/name_m], Helix and [name_m]Phineas[/name_m] also came to me.
