Need Help With a Characters Mother

I’m working on this series and I need a name for the mother of a very important secondary character. His name is [name]Seth[/name] O’[name]Donnell[/name]. His mother is deceased, but I want to write her story eventually so I want to give her a set name early on. Here is a little bit about her.

She was human. Died at the age of 18 while giving birth to [name]Seth[/name]. She was born in 1980’s. Her parents died when she was young. She is bold, foul mouth, honest, very out spoken, smart, and brave. She would gladly die if it saved the lives of her friends or innocent people. She was a teenage killer in the supernatural world before she died and she was very good at what she did. Looks wise, she has ordinary features, pretty but tomboyish. 5’6", thin build. [name]Long[/name] straight light brown hair with bangs, green eyes.

The last name is O’[name]Donnell[/name].

I like [name]Theresa[/name]. I like these ‘B’ names; Bree, Bryn, Briar.

[name]Georgina[/name]/[name]Georgiana[/name]/[name]Gina[/name] was the first to come to my mind as does…

[name]Miranda[/name], [name]Farrah[/name], [name]Celia[/name]/[name]Cecilia[/name], [name]Elaine[/name]/[name]Elena[/name], [name]Tracy[/name], [name]Chelsea[/name], [name]Wendy[/name], [name]Charla[/name], or as crysacraig said: [name]Theresa[/name], or [name]Joan[/name], [name]Melissa[/name], [name]Desiree[/name] or [name]Felicia[/name]…

[name]Theresa[/name] O’[name]Donnell[/name] would be wonderful. I think the nn [name]Tess[/name] would work better than [name]Terry[/name].

@[name]Mischa[/name]…I like [name]Theresa[/name]…love [name]Tess[/name], but I am using [name]Tess[/name] in another novel I have on the go and I don’t really want to change that characters name. Now, if I used [name]Theresa[/name], should I spell it with a ‘h’ or without?

@Kedd. Thanks for the suggestions. I like [name]Tracy[/name]. I also like [name]Chelsea[/name], but I want to stay away from the ‘c’ names as my main characters name starts with ‘c’.

[name]Theresa[/name] with an “h” seems more usable for a woman with an Irish background. [name]Teresa[/name] is more of an Hispanic/Italian spelling.

[name]Thea[/name]
Nasha (like [name]Natasha[/name] but a nickname that she went be since she hated her frilly name)
[name]Sasha[/name]
[name]Liza[/name]

I was thinking…

[name]Fiona[/name]
[name]Bryna[/name]
[name]Orla[/name]
[name]Maria[/name]
[name]Haley[/name]
[name]Gemma[/name]
[name]Bethany[/name]
[name]Michelle[/name]
[name]Leanne[/name]
[name]Julie[/name]

Thanks for the suggestions. I like [name]Sasha[/name], but I should stay away from it because the son’s name is [name]Seth[/name]. [name]Liza[/name] is cute. I’ll add it to my list.

Thanks. [name]Love[/name] most of these names.
[name]Fiona[/name]…to exotic
[name]Bryna[/name]…I really like it…it has a edge to it.
[name]Orla[/name]…not my cup of tea
[name]Maria[/name]…to mature sounding for this character
[name]Haley[/name]…I love this name, but I can’t help picturing a 3 years old little girl. (it’s my nieces name)
[name]Gemma[/name]…umm…
[name]Bethany[/name]…[name]Love[/name] it
[name]Michelle[/name]…I grew up with too many [name]Michelle[/name]‘s. And, [name]Michelle[/name] O’[name]Donnell[/name] sounds too much like [name]Michelle[/name] O’[name]Bama[/name].
[name]Leanne[/name]…[name]Love[/name] the name, but maybe too country feeling for this character.
[name]Julie[/name]…[name]Love[/name] it, but I have a character in this series named [name]Justine[/name], so I’m gonna pass on the ‘J’ name.

[name]Bethany[/name] and [name]Theresa[/name] are the two that really stand out to me.
