My husband and I have quickly agreed on a first name for our second daughter: [name]Isabelle[/name]. (I know that it is one that is popular right now, but we really love it and honestly I hope that [name]Isabella[/name] or [name]Bella[/name] will be more common rather than our pick)… Anyway, we are struggling with a middle name. Our last name is one syllable, by the way. But here are our choices:
[name]Isabelle[/name] [name]Rose[/name] (our first daughter’s middle name is [name]Grace[/name], and so we feel some symmetry there with the syllables)
[name]Isabelle[/name] [name]Giada[/name] (My husband loved this name- I do like it because it is Italian and we named our first daughter an Italian name)
[name]Isabelle[/name] [name]Gianna[/name] (also an Italian middle name- I like it but Hubby doesn’t)
Any other ideas or opinions??? Would welcome any advice.
[name]Hi[/name]! If you love [name]Isabelle[/name], that is all that matters, so congratulations on picking your daughter’s name!
I usually thing that a “reverse stair-step” approach works well with your situation. So, if you have a three-syllable first name and a one-syllable last name, you would put in a two-syllable middle name to balance everything out! This isn’t your only option, of course, as a three-syllable middle name can work, too.
[name]Isabelle[/name] [name]Rose[/name] out of the 3 you have.
Here are mn’s that are Italian. I’m going to star* the ones I really like.
[name]Isabelle[/name] [name]Liliana[/name] ( i think it might be too much with all the L’s)
[name]Isabelle[/name] [name]Lucia[/name]*
[name]Isabelle[/name] [name]Carmella[/name]*
[name]Isabelle[/name] [name]Mia[/name]
[name]Isabelle[/name] [name]Roma[/name]
[name]Isabelle[/name] [name]Rosa[/name]*
[name]Isabelle[/name] [name]Siena[/name]
[name]Isabelle[/name] [name]Silva[/name]
[name]Isabelle[/name] [name]Simona[/name]*
[name]Isabelle[/name] [name]Teresa[/name]*
[name]Isabelle[/name] [name]Terina[/name]
[name]Isabelle[/name] [name]Venetia[/name]
[name]Isabelle[/name] [name]Verona[/name]*
[name]Isabelle[/name] [name]Vittoria[/name]* (Italian variation of [name]Victoria[/name])
Or I also like [name]Isabelle[/name] [name]Victoria[/name].
I’d maybe try middle names with the L os B sound, it helps them sound harmonious together. [name]How[/name] about
[name]Isabelle[/name] [name]Blaire[/name]
[name]Isabelle[/name] Bloom (also a well-known local sculptor where I live)
[name]Isabelle[/name] [name]Blanche[/name]
[name]Isabelle[/name] [name]Lucille[/name]
[name]Isabelle[/name] [name]Lilly[/name]
[name]Isabelle[/name] [name]Lillian[/name]
I think that [name]Isabelle[/name] is beautiful. I love [name]Isabelle[/name] [name]Rose[/name], but because it’s the #1 middle name, it feels like a filler middle these days. I also think that a longer middle sounds great with your last name.
