Need help with baby girl name! Sibling to Samuel, Halina? Mary? Edith?

My SO and I already have our handsome boy [name_m]Samuel[/name_m] [name_m]Kenneth[/name_m] (named after both of our father’s) and we’re expecting again! We already have names set if we have another boy, which is [name_u]Dean[/name_u] [name_m]Thomas[/name_m]. However, we’re having so much trouble with girl names.

I like the names:
[name_f]Mary[/name_f] (paternal grandmother’s name)
[name_f]Alice[/name_f]
[name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] (great grandmother)
[name_f]Edith[/name_f] or [name_f]Edyta[/name_f] ([name_f]Edith[/name_f] in English and Polish)
[name_f]Halina[/name_f]
[name_f]Betty[/name_f] (SO’s step-mother’s name, who was the one who raised him)
[name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] (great grandmother)

The surname is [name_m]Von[/name_m]. As you can tell I enjoy classic, older names! He really enjoys [name_f]Edith[/name_f] nn [name_f]Edie[/name_f].
I absolutely love the name [name_f]Halina[/name_f] (pronouced Ha-LEAN-a) and have since I was a little girl. It is the name of my maternal grandmother. My mother’s name is [name_f]Jolanta[/name_f] (pronounced [name_f]Yo[/name_f]-lawn-TUH) and is from Poland like her entire family. Her mother died when she was young so I never met her, but I always appreciated the name. I would love to pay tribute to my mother by naming my daughter after her mother with her name as the middle name, so [name_f]Halina[/name_f] [name_f]Jolanta[/name_f] [name_m]Von[/name_m]. I can even recall telling my mother when I was twelve that I was going to name my future daughter [name_f]Halina[/name_f]! However, I’m reserved because I’m worried [name_f]Halina[/name_f] would be misspelled or misread for years to come and because my name is [name_f]Sabrina[/name_f], would that sound too similar? And does it go with [name_m]Samuel[/name_m]? What other names could possibly go with it? My grandmother [name_f]Halina[/name_f] was one of eight, however, her siblings had extremely Polish names like Witold, Wladyslaw, Bolskaw, etc. :-?

I would really appreciate some feedback, either on the names I listed or if you can think of better names that match! Thank you!

[name_f]Halina[/name_f] seems pretty straight forward to me. I can’t really think of any drastic mispronunciations you might get, unless someone tries to say it like [name_m]Hal[/name_m]-EYE-nah or mistakes it for [name_f]Helena[/name_f]. Though with names like the increasingly popular [name_f]Adelina[/name_f], or even a name like [name_f]Angelina[/name_f] that’s been around for ages floating around, I think most people will be quick to grasp [name_f]Halina[/name_f].

That said, I think it sounds lovely with [name_m]Samuel[/name_m]! Other than the -ina ending, it also doesn’t sound too similar to [name_f]Sabrina[/name_f] in my opinion either.

Thank you very much for the feedback! You think its a fairly unique name? I’ve known some [name_f]Halina[/name_f]'s, but they were from a Polish background.

I think [name_f]Halina[/name_f] is a beautiful name! I never heard of it before but it’s lovely and it goes well with [name_m]Samuel[/name_m]. I don’t think you will have any trouble with people mispronouncing it. [name_f]Halina[/name_f] [name_f]Jolanta[/name_f] works quite well.

[name_f]Halina[/name_f] is lovely. Personally I’d pair it with [name_f]Halina[/name_f] [name_f]Alice[/name_f] or [name_f]Halina[/name_f] [name_f]Betty[/name_f] from your choice of names so that your OH’s family are also honoured
