Need help with baby girl name

We are expecting our first born very soon and have not found out the sex of the baby. We are pretty confident on a boys name but we are having some trouble deciding on a girls name. Here are a few of our favourite girls names and was hoping you guys can tell us which one you like the best:

I like [name_f]Fiona[/name_f]! It seems unique and has its own flare perfect for a little girl :slight_smile:
I also like [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] but she might be many in a classroom. Congrats

I suggest that you pick either [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] or [name_f]Olivia[/name_f]. They both have adorable nicknames, [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] & [name_f]Liv[/name_f], and both are pretty and sophisticated for girls and women. These names will work even when they are adults.

Thanks for the responses - very helpful! [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] has been our front runner, but when I told someone about the name it made them think of [name_f]Princess[/name_f] [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] in Shrek, and said she could get teased…y’know being an ogre and all. So then we started second guessing it. But we both still love the name.

[name_m]Just[/name_m] wondering, do u think the Shrek correlation would be an issue at all?

[name_f]Love[/name_f] [name_f]Fiona[/name_f]! She’s defiantly my favorite on your list. That said, yes there is the ogre teasing potential, but [name_f]Princess[/name_f] [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] was a great example as far as animated characters go! She was strong, she knew how to stand up for her self and protect her self, and she learned how to be happy with who she was. I actually don’t think there would be much, if any of a teasing problem. Shrek came out what, 10 years ago? It’s not a big deal anymore and will be even less of one by the time your daughter is in school so I don’t think she’ll get teased.
