Need help with baby girl names!

[name_m]Hi[/name_m]! I am due in 5 weeks, and am still uncertain about names for a baby girl. I had pretty much settled on [name_f]Adaline[/name_f] [name_f]Halina[/name_f], or even just [name_f]Ada[/name_f] [name_f]Halina[/name_f], but I’m second guessing myself. She has a brother named [name_u]Miles[/name_u]. I’m also considering [name_f]Amaya[/name_f] [name_f]Halina[/name_f]. Advice is welcome, please. She will have two last names, so having two middle ones is likely out of the question. :upside_down_face:

[name_f]Ada[/name_f] [name_f]Helene[/name_f] would be stunning

[name_f]Ada[/name_f] [name_f]Halina[/name_f] and [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] [name_f]Halina[/name_f] don’t sound quite right. I think [name_m]Ad[/name_m]a Halina and [name_u]Ade[/name_u]line Halina are the things that tick me off. Also I’m not really into the [name_f]Halina[/name_f] spelling, I prefer [name_f]Helena[/name_f] (both are pronounced the same.) Maybe [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] [name_f]Helena[/name_f] or [name_f]Adelyn[/name_f] [name_f]Helena[/name_f]? I think our styles are different but here are just some suggestions for you. [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] and [name_f]Ada[/name_f] are wonderful names! I just don’t like them with [name_f]Halina[/name_f]

I should have mentioned [name_f]Halina[/name_f] is a family name, sentimental and not open to change. I am definitely not an “lyn” ending person, so I think you are correct about our styles differing. But some of your suggestions are definitely things I have considered. Thanks!

[name_f]Halina[/name_f] is one my favourite names! It’s so beautiful, and I’m so happy that you are using it <3

I think [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] [name_f]Halina[/name_f] is beautiful, it’s my personal favourite although your other options are lovely as well. [name_u]Miles[/name_u] and [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] make a sweet set!

Maybe…
[name_f]Adele[/name_f] [name_f]Halina[/name_f]
[name_f]Eva[/name_f] [name_f]Halina[/name_f]
[name_f]Lydia[/name_f] [name_f]Halina[/name_f]
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Halina[/name_f]
[name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] [name_f]Halina[/name_f]
[name_f]Juliet[/name_f] [name_f]Halina[/name_f]
[name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Halina[/name_f]
[name_f]Frances[/name_f] [name_f]Halina[/name_f]
[name_f]Amity[/name_f] [name_f]Halina[/name_f]
[name_f]Anthea[/name_f] [name_f]Halina[/name_f]

I think I tend to prefer [name_f]Halina[/name_f] as a first name, but I’m rooting for [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] [name_f]Halina[/name_f]!

I get a little tangled in [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] [name_f]Halina[/name_f] but in practice you won’t say the full name often. [name_f]Amaya[/name_f] is my favourite though

Both [name_f]Adaline[/name_f] and [name_f]Ada[/name_f] are gorgeous with [name_u]Miles[/name_u] and of a similar era and style. Neither flow perfectly with [name_f]Halina[/name_f] but if it’s an important family name then that shouldn’t matter, go with what you love!

[name_f]Amaya[/name_f] sounds better with [name_f]Halina[/name_f] but seems a bit mismatched stylistically and too matchy phonetically with [name_u]Miles[/name_u].

[name_f]Addie[/name_f] is great! Thanks.

Can I just say that the potential pair of Adaline & Miles melted my heart! So Adaline Halina gets my vote!! As others have mentioned, the first and middle won’t be said too often together, so I’d personally go for sentimental value >> flow.

Best of luck!!

I think [name_f]Ada[/name_f] [name_f]Halina[/name_f] is perfect with [name_u]Miles[/name_u], although I also like both [name_f]Amaya[/name_f] and [name_f]Adeline[/name_f], but I only like the latter spelt this way.

I think [name_f]Ada[/name_f] [name_f]Halina[/name_f] is great! I know a little [name_f]Ada[/name_f] and she wears it beautifully. Personally, I think [name_f]Amaya[/name_f] [name_f]Halina[/name_f] is too much and that [name_f]Ada[/name_f] [name_f]Halina[/name_f] flows better than [name_f]Adaline[/name_f] [name_f]Halina[/name_f]. Also, I’m due in 5 weeks too!

[name_f]Adaline[/name_f] [name_f]Halina[/name_f] gets my vote because she can go by [name_f]Ada[/name_f] , [name_f]Addie[/name_f] , [name_f]Aline[/name_f] , [name_f]Lindy[/name_f] ,Dal, [name_u]Adel[/name_u]. I feel like it’s the perfect name for versatile [name_u]Nick[/name_u] names !

I love [name_f]Ada[/name_f] [name_f]Halina[/name_f] nn [name_f]Addie[/name_f]! As a second choice I would consider [name_f]Ava[/name_f] instead of [name_f]Amaya[/name_f], I just think it would work better with [name_u]Miles[/name_u].

Now [name_f]Halina[/name_f] makes sense! I’m not a fan of common names being spelled differently, but I LOVE honor names! I know it’s strange, but I understand [name_f]Halina[/name_f] now. Maybe [name_f]Halina[/name_f] as the first name and then nickname [name_f]Hallie[/name_f]! That would be so cute and her own spin on the family name! [name_f]Halina[/name_f] [name_f]Adele[/name_f] nn [name_f]Hallie[/name_f]? [name_u]Miles[/name_u] and [name_f]Hallie[/name_f] are so cute :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
