We are having our third baby the end of [name_f]September[/name_f], and I’m at a loss for names. We have two sons, [name_m]Wil[/name_m].son and [name_m]Benn[/name_m].ett. Their names were relatively easy to come up with, and we both agreed on. They both have middle names that are from male relatives.
We love that their names have good nicknames, aren’t very popular (well, [name_m]Wil[/name_m].son isn’t), gender specific, and easy to pronounce. These factors are pretty important to us when discussing names. Now with baby #3, we can’t agree on anything. Here’s my shortlist:
[name_m]David[/name_m]
[name_u]Steele[/name_u]
[name_m]Bryant[/name_m]
[name_m]Connor[/name_m]
[name_m]Thomas[/name_m]
[name_m]Mack[/name_m]
[name_u]Frost[/name_u] (is it too gp?)
What do guys think? Any names that I should add? I need help coming up with more. None of these names feel right; neither one of us loves loves a name. Our last name is one syllable, so we like names with more than one syllable. Thanks for the help!
With [name_m]Wil[/name_m].son and [name_m]Benn[/name_m].ett, from your list I like [name_f]Bridget[/name_f], [name_f]Sadie[/name_f], [name_m]Bryant[/name_m], [name_m]Connor[/name_m] and [name_m]Thomas[/name_m]. [name_m]Connor[/name_m], [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] and [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] might be a bit too popular though.
[name_f]Gwen[/name_f] and [name_f]Lena[/name_f] are too rhymey with [name_m]Bennett[/name_m] for me, and [name_f]Gwen[/name_f]‘s a bit too nicknamey. I think [name_m]David[/name_m] is a bit more old-fashioned than your boys’ names, although it si handsome. [name_u]Steele[/name_u] feels a bit too overly macho. [name_m]Mack[/name_m] is too nicknamey and [name_u]Frost[/name_u] is a little bit more GP than your other boys’ names.
For boys, I think [name_u]Frost[/name_u] and [name_u]Steele[/name_u] are a bit odd next to W & B. Your older children’s names are common surnames, somewhat uncommon as first names, and have the possibility of a traditional nickname.
I really like [name_m]Mack[/name_m]. [name_m]How[/name_m] do you feel about it as a nickname? Maybe for [name_m]Macallister[/name_m], [name_m]Cormac[/name_m], [name_m]McGregor[/name_m], etc?
Some other boy names you may like:
[name_m]Davis[/name_m]
[name_m]Callum[/name_m]
[name_u]Reid[/name_u]
[name_m]Nolan[/name_m]
[name_m]Cashel[/name_m]
[name_u]Grady[/name_u]
[name_u]Porter[/name_u]
[name_m]Eamon[/name_m]
[name_m]Ronan[/name_m]
I like your list for girls. Some other suggestions you may like:
[name_f]Claudia[/name_f]
[name_f]Ada[/name_f]
[name_f]Cara[/name_f]
[name_f]Adele[/name_f]
[name_f]Maggie[/name_f]
[name_f]Tessa[/name_f]
[name_u]Seren[/name_u]
[name_f]Claire[/name_f]
[name_f]Maeve[/name_f]
[name_f]Maura[/name_f]
I like your girls list, and I like the suggestion of [name_m]Cormac[/name_m]. [name_f]Bridget[/name_f] might be a little too close to [name_m]Bennett[/name_m]. Agree that [name_u]Steele[/name_u] and [name_m]Mack[/name_m] are a little too macho.
[name_m]Wil[/name_m].son and [name_m]Benn[/name_m].ett are so handsome together! Out of your girls’ list, [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] seems to work the best, but I’m not super keen on the whole nickname-name aspect of it with your boys. Maybe [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] as a full name for [name_f]Sadie[/name_f]? I agree with the suggestion of [name_m]Cormac[/name_m]! As for the girls, I like the suggestions of [name_f]Imogen[/name_f], [name_f]Iris[/name_f], [name_f]Fiona[/name_f], [name_f]Ada[/name_f], [name_f]Claire[/name_f], [name_f]Maeve[/name_f], [name_f]Mabel[/name_f], and [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f].
