Need help with sibling name

[name]Hi[/name] Everyone! I just registered here because my husband and I are expecting a girl in [name]October[/name], and we are having a hard time finding a name that doesn’t sound ridiculous with our last name, doesn’t sound like any of our other family’s names, and goes with our first daughter’s name.

Our daughter’s name is [name]Linnea[/name].

Some names we were thinking of, and why we’re not totally sold on them:

[name]Freya[/name]- we both love the name, but it kind of rhymes with [name]Linnea[/name].

[name]Saffi[/name]- cute, but may not be so cute when she’s an adult.

[name]Mina[/name]- same as [name]Saffi[/name].

[name]Siri[/name]- the darn iphone ruined it!

[name]Daphne[/name]- I like it, but don’t love it.

[name]Elin[/name]- I like it, but it’s [name]Tiger[/name] Woods’ ex.

[name]Sabina[/name]- I like it, but just started thinking about it.

I would love your opinions on these names (especially about [name]Freya[/name], and how it kind of rhymes with [name]Linnea[/name]), and any other suggestions.

Thanks!

I like [name]Daphne[/name], [name]Elin[/name] and [name]Sabina[/name]. And [name]Freya[/name], but may be matchy.

[name]Freya[/name]- I think it’s a little too rhyme-y with [name]Linnea[/name].

[name]Saffi[/name]- Agree that it’s cute for a little girl but might not be as cute when she’s grown up.

[name]Mina[/name]- Hmm… I think that a grown up woman could pull this off, [name]Mina[/name] for me would fit a baby or a grown up, you could always go with [name]Wilhelmina[/name] with nn [name]Mina[/name]

[name]Siri[/name]- Yes, definitely don’t use this one b/c of [name]Siri[/name] from the iPhone.

[name]Daphne[/name]- [name]Daphne[/name] is a beautiful name, but if you are not sold on it then you shouldn’t use it.

[name]Elin[/name]- This one I don’t really think of [name]Tiger[/name] [name]Wood[/name]'s ex until you mentioned it, I think it’s a really pretty name and sounds good with [name]Linnea[/name]!

[name]Sabina[/name]- This one is great and fits well with [name]Linnea[/name]. [name]Sabina[/name] is familiar but still not used very often.

[name]How[/name] does [name]Linnea[/name] rhyme with [name]Freya[/name]? [name]Lin[/name]-NAY-ah? [name]Freya[/name] is a favourite of mine:) I’ts kind of rhymey though, unfortunately. I’d wait and see if there’s another gem out there before comitting to [name]Freya[/name].

Some suggestions: [name]Seraphina[/name] or Safina nn [name]Saffi[/name], perhaps? [name]Siri[/name], [name]Elin[/name] and [name]Mina[/name] are a little bit short next to [name]Linnea[/name] IMHO. Some suggestions: [name]Sigrid[/name], [name]Signe[/name], [name]Elina[/name], [name]Ellinor[/name], and [name]Emina[/name].

Good luck:)

[name]Freya[/name]- It is a little matchy but there are no real rules. If you love it, use it.

[name]Saffi[/name]- I think this is darling but it should be a nn - [name]Saffron[/name]? [name]Seraphina[/name]?

[name]Mina[/name]- I think [name]Mina[/name] can stand alone and grow up.

[name]Siri[/name]- the darn iphone ruined it! - you said it!

[name]Daphne[/name]- I really like this name but am not sure with [name]Linnea[/name]

[name]Elin[/name]- Who really cares what his ex-wife’s name is? Unless you plan to have your kids play with his, you may be overthinking this. [name]Elin[/name]/[name]Ellen[/name] has been around a long time/

[name]Sabina[/name]- or [name]Sabrina[/name]?

I think [name]Mina[/name] is fabulous! I don’t find it remotely childish. I also think it is fantastic with [name]Linnea[/name]. I like [name]Daphne[/name] and [name]Sabina[/name] as well.
