Help, I am due 11/12/12 and still undecided. Thank to all your responses we came up with [name]Charles[/name] [name]Emerson[/name] and it’s still high on the list.
My latest favorite is [name]Thomas[/name]. Can we do [name]Thomas[/name] [name]Emerson[/name]? Is it too close to a certain [name]Jefferson[/name] or [name]Edison[/name]? Would that make the name odd as in [name]Benjamin[/name] Pranklin?
Looking for your honest thoughts on this.
If we went with [name]Thomas[/name] but not [name]Emerson[/name] for the mn, some other choice family names for mn would be [name]Ferrell[/name], Greenaway, Dyer, [name]Bradley[/name], [name]Rupert[/name]. Any of those have a nice ring?
I am also totally open to new ideas.
Thanks and warm thoughts of perfect names for beautiful babies…
My goodness, [name]Thomas[/name] Greenaway is really beautiful. As [name]Thomas[/name] is such a classic name, I would use any of your family names in the middle spot (they’re all relatively uncommon)-- but Greenaway is really amazing. It’s distinctive, evocative, gentle and masculine simultaneously.
[name]Thomas[/name] [name]Emerson[/name] is lovely. I don’t really think [name]Thomas[/name] [name]Edison[/name] or [name]Thomas[/name] [name]Jefferson[/name], although I suppose some would make the connection. I like [name]Thomas[/name] [name]Bradley[/name] from your options, and [name]Thomas[/name] Greenaway would be lovely, too.
I love [name]Thomas[/name] [name]Ferrell[/name] and [name]Thomas[/name] Greenaway from your choices I don’t think [name]Thomas[/name] [name]Emerson[/name] is to close to [name]Jefferson[/name] or [name]Edison[/name], I just don’t like the S’s in there.
[name]Thomas[/name] Greenaway and [name]Thomas[/name] [name]Bradley[/name] are my favorites and I think it’s special and nice to use a family name as a mn. I agree that [name]Thomas[/name] [name]Emerson[/name] has a lot of S sound to it so I’d go with something else for that reason. What about [name]Thomas[/name] [name]Edmond[/name] or [name]Thomas[/name] [name]Edwin[/name] if you don’t use a family name?
[name]Thomas[/name] [name]Emerson[/name] sounds very presidential to me, but I still like it. I dont think many will make that association, depending on where you are located. Also, how about [name]Charles[/name] [name]Thomas[/name]? Otherwise, I agree with the previous posts- [name]Thomas[/name] Greenaway or [name]Thomas[/name] [name]Bradley[/name].
Without finishing the paragraph I immediately thought of [name]Thomas[/name] [name]Jefferson[/name]/[name]Edison[/name] as [name]Emerson[/name] sounds like a combo of the two? I agree with most that [name]Thomas[/name] [name]Bradley[/name] is solid and classic, but [name]Thomas[/name] Greenaway is unique and wonderful.
[name]Thomas[/name] Greenaway is pretty fabulous and [name]Thomas[/name] [name]Bradley[/name] is quite nice as well. Unfortunately I do think [name]Thomas[/name] [name]Edison[/name] when I hear [name]Thomas[/name] [name]Emerson[/name] (my train of thought goes: [name]Thomas[/name] [name]Emerson[/name]-[name]Emerson[/name] Electric-lightbulbs-[name]Edison[/name]). Is there a chance of [name]Rupert[/name] being on the table as a first name? I think [name]Rupert[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] is to die for.
Thank you all so much! I am thinking [name]Thomas[/name] Greenaway is a hit! I am realizing how peotic it sounds… I also love [name]Thomas[/name] [name]Bradley[/name] (my dad’s mn) but hub likes Greenaway as it’s his family’s original irish name. Thanks and best wishes!
[name]Thomas[/name] paired with all the middle names you listed sounds awesome, but the best of the bunch in my opinion is [name]Thomas[/name] Greenaway.
