I’m a Spanish speaker but I also speak English, so I would pronounce it EYE-vee. But I think that a non-English speaker would pronounce it EE-vee. At least, my mom would haha:D
I think a native Spanish speaker that didn’t speak English would probably pronounce it Ee-vee like the previous poster said. However, none of the sounds in the name are absent from the Spanish language, so once corrected I don’t think the average person would have a problem pronouncing it Eye-vee. Some names just have sounds that don’t come naturally for Spanish speakers (like my name for instance. A lot of Spanish speakers have trouble with the rt transition in [name_u]Courtney[/name_u]), but [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] probably isn’t one of them.
I’m not a native Spanish speaker, but I do remember learning that in Spanish the letter V is usually pronounced the same as B.
I’m British, I’ve been living in Spain for a long time and I speak Spanish.
It would be said Ee-[name_f]Bee[/name_f] and if you teach them how to say it they’d say Aaih-[name_f]Bee[/name_f]
