Hello, sweet berries!
I just started high school at a different school than I’ve been going to and I’m taking Spanish 2. We were just told that we get to choose SPANISH NAMES for ourself tomorrow!
Obviously, as a name-lover, this is a very important decision for me. (I don’t want to be a [name]Juanita[/name] for the rest of the year!)
I am calling on all of you to give your best SPANISH NAME suggestions by tonight–I’ll check back on later tonight and make a final decision. Also, feel free to vote on the best name(s) posters before you have written. I’ll tell you what I’ve chosen tomorrow!
Thank you, kind berries! I look forward to reading your beautiful replies. (:

(And just if you were wondering, my name is a very un-spanish, can’t-be-translated one.)
[name]Do[/name] you want something more unusual? (I’m assuming you do, lol). I think a Spanish Word name would be really cool. In high school I took spanish in high school and my name was [name]Luna[/name], because my name, [name]Lisa[/name], doesn’t really translate, and [name]Luna[/name] started with and L and sounded so cool! Ok, so here are my three absolute favorite Spanish names, I hope you like one:
[name]Paloma[/name] - it means dove and I knew the most gorgeous girl named [name]Paloma[/name] who was from Spain. The name is soooo gorgeous to my ears.
[name]Ventura[/name] - (unless your in [name]California[/name], which could make this one weird) - means “good fortune” and has the ultimate cool girl feel to it.
[name]Vida[/name] - means life. it’s one of those cool names that would maybe look pretentious on a kid now that celebs have taken a liken to it, but as a spanish class name it’s awesome!
It’s a great name - pronounceable in almost every single romance language and it means from the forest - great for anyone into nature. (And [name]Sylvia[/name] is my daughter’s name - love it!)
I vote [name]Esperanza[/name]! It’s my spanish name, and it’s so pretty and fun to write on assignments! It also reminds me of a wonderful book I read in elementary school, [name]Esperanza[/name] Rising, which I highly reccomend
Ooh, and I have to throw in a mention of [name]Graciela[/name]. It was my name in Spanish class since my middle name is [name]Grace[/name]. I’ve always loved how it sounds.
I love [name]Elena[/name], [name]Marisol[/name] and [name]Montserrat[/name]. Ooh, or how about [name]Lourdes[/name]? I know it’s more French than Spanish, but I know a ton of Hispanic girls named this.
Okay, so my teacher forgot to ask us our names today. That’s means that I have until [name]Monday[/name] to choose! I’m leaning towards [name]Lolita[/name], but there are quite a few I like that are pretty close. (:

I’m going to have to pick a Spanish name as well! Right now I like these:
[name]Lola[/name]
[name]Susana[/name]
[name]Beatriz[/name]
Amora (It means love. I would use this one, but it’s my friend’s name)
[name]Marta[/name]
[name]Luna[/name]
[name]Lolita[/name] is awesome, but quite risque.
My advice- When I had to choose a name for French, I chose [name]Antoinette[/name]. My real name is [name]Lily[/name], so it always felt weird to be called a name that’s so long and formal. Choose a name that’s similar to yours in at least length/style.
[name]EDIT[/name]: I chose! I am now [name]Pepita[/name]! It’s just soo adorable!
