Need Name Suggestions for Sibling of Nolan and Lila

I have a son [name_m]Nolan[/name_m] [name_m]Piers[/name_m] and a daughter [name_f]Lila[/name_f] [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]. We are TTC number 3, if it ended up being a boy I would more than likely name him [name_m]Graham[/name_m] [name_u]Riley[/name_u] ([name_u]Riley[/name_u] is a family name), [name_m]Knox[/name_m]/[name_u]Quinn[/name_u] [name_m]Oliver[/name_m], or [name_m]Leo[/name_m] [name_m]Knight[/name_m] (another family name).

However, for a girl, I really don’t know. I have a list that is kind of all over the place and was wondering if I could get some feedback on if they sound terrible or if they sound off with my other childrens names. I’d also like some suggestions. Their cousins are [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f], [name_u]Theo[/name_u], and [name_f]Ayla[/name_f] so don’t suggest those.

[name_f]Sophia[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u]-[name_f]Sophie[/name_f] has always been one of my favorite names in the whole world, I’m just afraid its so common.
[name_f]Elodie[/name_f] [name_u]Drew[/name_u]-Hé’s not quite on board with [name_f]Elodie[/name_f]
[name_f]Evie[/name_f] [name_f]Stella[/name_f]
[name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_f]Greer[/name_f]
[name_u]Ellery[/name_u] ?
[name_f]Tessa[/name_f] ?
[name_f]Nora[/name_f] ?
[name_f]Margot[/name_f] ?
[name_f]Olive[/name_f]-I love this name but I’m afraid its a little too odd or won’t be taken seriously as she’s an adult?

Since your first two children both have “L” sounds in their names, I think a name with that same sound would go well.
I love [name_f]Olive[/name_f], [name_f]Elodie[/name_f], and [name_f]Willa[/name_f]. I wouldn’t worry about [name_f]Olive[/name_f] being too odd, I think it is a name that can easily grow with your child and will be taken seriously when she is an adult.

Other names that I like are:
[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]
[name_f]Violet[/name_f]
[name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] (This has always been my favorite name)
[name_f]Tallulah[/name_f]

You could also choose [name_u]Riley[/name_u] for a girl, it’s becoming pretty popular, but if that doesn’t bother you I think it’s adorable for a girl.

I think [name_m]Graham[/name_m] would be fine with [name_m]Nolan[/name_m] and [name_f]Lila[/name_f]. I love [name_m]Leo[/name_m] but not with [name_f]Lila[/name_f]. I don’t like [name_m]Knox[/name_m] and [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] would share an “n” ending with [name_m]Nolan[/name_m].

I would eliminate this names from your girls list because…

[name_f]Willa[/name_f] is too similar to [name_f]Lila[/name_f]
[name_f]Nora[/name_f] and [name_f]Olive[/name_f] are too matchy with [name_m]Nolan[/name_m]
[name_u]Ellery[/name_u] is too boyish with [name_f]Lila[/name_f]
[name_f]Evie[/name_f] is too cutesy

I prefer the [name_m]French[/name_m] [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] to [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] as it sounds more friendly and approachable.

Faves: (1) spunky [name_f]Margot[/name_f] (2) [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] and (3) [name_f]Tessa[/name_f]

Other Suggestions:

[name_f]Eva[/name_f] (nn [name_f]Evie[/name_f])
[name_f]Clara[/name_f]
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f]
[name_u]Ruby[/name_u]
[name_f]Molly[/name_f]
[name_f]Georgia[/name_f]
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f]
[name_f]Emma[/name_f]
[name_f]Elsa[/name_f]
[name_f]Alice[/name_f]
[name_f]Ada[/name_f]
[name_f]Rachel[/name_f]
[name_f]Daphne[/name_f]
[name_f]Annabel[/name_f]/[name_f]Annabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Faye[/name_f]
[name_f]Bridget[/name_f]
[name_f]Coralie[/name_f]
[name_f]Mabel[/name_f]
Clemetine
[name_f]Beatrix[/name_f]
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]

I love [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f], I named a fish that when I was young, however, I think my husband would think its too “out there.” For some reason [name_f]Rose[/name_f]-sounding names don’t do it for me, and I do like [name_f]Violet[/name_f]…Part of me is resistant because I view it as a sort of, plain name? [name_m]How[/name_m] is [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] pronounced? I don’t like [name_u]Riley[/name_u] for a girl, it’s my husbands middle name so we want to use it for a male

Ugh, yes I agree [name_f]Willa[/name_f] is too similar to [name_f]Lila[/name_f] :frowning: and so is [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] and [name_f]Isla[/name_f], those were the three names I tried to pick from when I had her and I still love them, but I know I can’t use [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] or [name_f]Isla[/name_f], but I was hoping I could get away with [name_f]Willa[/name_f]. [name_f]Willow[/name_f] maybe?

I worry about [name_f]Evie[/name_f] being too cutesy as well. I forgot to write that the name on the birth cert would be [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] [name_f]Stella[/name_f] though, after my grandmother. I don’t think [name_f]Olive[/name_f] is too matchy with [name_m]Nolan[/name_m] though, and I don’t think [name_u]Ellery[/name_u] is boyish at all, I know its used for males but it sounds super feminine to me.

I really like [name_f]Elsa[/name_f] from your list. I might have to add that to the contender sheet.

What do you guys think of these names also,

[name_f]Greer[/name_f] as a first name…part of me loves it, it’s kind of how I feel about [name_f]Olive[/name_f], I love it but I’m afraid it would get looks.
[name_u]Emery[/name_u]-only issue with this is that I’m from the south and tend to pronounce em->im and it bothers my husband
[name_f]Ava[/name_f]-I’m afraid with this one it’d make all of our names together sound very bland, but we have an A last name which I love the double A sound
[name_f]Amelie[/name_f]-I love it…but does it go with [name_m]Nolan[/name_m] and [name_f]Lila[/name_f]?
[name_u]Darcy[/name_u]
[name_u]Everly[/name_u]

By itself, [name_m]Leo[/name_m] [name_m]Knight[/name_m] is AWESOME, but like [name_u]Mischa[/name_u] said, I would avoid it with big sis [name_f]Lila[/name_f]. [name_m]Knox[/name_m] will share the same first sound with big brother (might as well be [name_m]Nolan[/name_m] and Nox), which could cause some tongue twisters when calling for them. For those reasons, I think [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] is the winner from your boy names.

[name_f]Margot[/name_f], [name_f]Sophie[/name_f], and [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] go best in your sib set in my opinion!
[name_f]LOVE[/name_f] [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u], as long as you call her [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] because I think it works better with [name_f]Lila[/name_f]. [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] and [name_f]Lila[/name_f] is too much “a” ending for me. But the full [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u] sounds better than [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u], so it could just be an official name. And if you’ve loved it forever, go for it! Popularity is only a minor thing when you’ve found a name that “feels like home”.

Of course I will say [name_f]Sophie[/name_f]/[name_f]Sophia[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u]. I have [name_f]Sofia[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u] “[name_f]Sofie[/name_f]” in my top 5. I also really like [name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_f]Greer[/name_f]. I think [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] and [name_f]Willa[/name_f] go best with [name_f]Lila[/name_f]. I feel [name_f]Greer[/name_f], [name_f]Sophie[/name_f], and [name_f]Willa[/name_f] all go very well with [name_m]Nolan[/name_m].

[name_m]Nolan[/name_m], [name_f]Lila[/name_f], [name_m]Graham[/name_m] and [name_f]Sophie[/name_f]
[name_m]Nolan[/name_m], [name_f]Lila[/name_f], [name_m]Graham[/name_m] and [name_f]Nora[/name_f]
[name_m]Nolan[/name_m], [name_f]Lila[/name_f], [name_m]Graham[/name_m] and [name_f]Margot[/name_f]
[name_m]Nolan[/name_m], [name_f]Lila[/name_f], [name_m]Graham[/name_m] and [name_u]Emery[/name_u]
[name_m]Nolan[/name_m], [name_f]Lila[/name_f], [name_m]Knox[/name_m] and [name_f]Olive[/name_f]
[name_m]Nolan[/name_m], [name_f]Lila[/name_f], [name_m]Knox[/name_m] and [name_f]Greer[/name_f]
[name_m]Nolan[/name_m], [name_f]Lila[/name_f], [name_m]Knox[/name_m] and [name_f]Ava[/name_f]
[name_m]Nolan[/name_m], [name_f]Lila[/name_f], [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] and [name_u]Ellery[/name_u]
[name_m]Nolan[/name_m], [name_f]Lila[/name_f], [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] and [name_f]Tessa[/name_f]
[name_m]Nolan[/name_m], [name_f]Lila[/name_f], [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] and [name_u]Darcy[/name_u]

I’m just throwing together names to see if I like any (and added boy and girl just in case-you never know). My husbands favorite of the boys names is [name_u]Quinn[/name_u], which is my least favorite because I view it as ambiguous on the gender, whereas [name_m]Nolan[/name_m] and [name_f]Lila[/name_f] are obvious. I love [name_m]Graham[/name_m], he’s not in love. I also like [name_m]Knox[/name_m], but he doesnt.

I think I’m liking [name_m]Nolan[/name_m] [name_f]Lila[/name_f] [name_m]Graham[/name_m] and [name_f]Sophie[/name_f], [name_m]Nolan[/name_m] [name_f]Lila[/name_f] [name_m]Knox[/name_m] and [name_f]Olive[/name_f], [name_m]Nolan[/name_m] [name_f]Lila[/name_f] [name_m]Knox[/name_m] and [name_f]Ava[/name_f], and [name_m]Nolan[/name_m] [name_f]Lila[/name_f] [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] and [name_f]Tessa[/name_f]

Yes, [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] would only be on the birth certificate, but I would definitely call her [name_f]Sophie[/name_f], I just don’t like the idea of putting an “ie” name as a first name on a birth certificate for some reason. ([name_f]Evie[/name_f] would be [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] [name_f]Stella[/name_f] on paper also) [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] really does feel like home to me. It’s just the perfect name, I love the sound of it. It’s also one of the only names I love that doesn’t have an L in it, which I am clearly a sucker for.

It’s strange how you can love a name but not be able to picture having a child with it, that’s how I feel about a lot of names I’ve come to love, like [name_f]Elodie[/name_f].

[name_m]Nolan[/name_m] had been my favorite boys name for a long time, since I heard it in 9th grade. It’s not very common really, but nothing about it held me back. Which is what I find perfect. I love hearing of other kids with quirky names, but like you said I want a name that feels like home, and [name_m]Nolan[/name_m] always did. I used [name_m]Piers[/name_m] as a middle name because I thought it was handsome and different.

[name_f]Lila[/name_f] was different. [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] and [name_u]Leighton[/name_u] were my favorites, but [name_u]Leighton[/name_u] doesn’t go with the last name and I was afraid [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] and [name_m]Nolan[/name_m] would sound too plain. I loved [name_f]Isla[/name_f]/[name_f]Lila[/name_f]/[name_f]Eliza[/name_f]/[name_f]Willa[/name_f]/[name_f]Ella[/name_f] names and [name_f]Lila[/name_f] ended up being what worked.

I think [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] is in the lead for me. Then [name_f]Olive[/name_f], and [name_f]Tessa[/name_f].

And I’ve heard of a lot more girls called [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] than [name_f]Sophie[/name_f], so that might make you feel better. Actually I don’t know a [name_f]Sophie[/name_f].

[name_f]Sophia[/name_f] has been in the top 3 I believe for 5 years now or so. If that is okay with you and your favorite- by all means go with that one! For me- it would just be too close to the top for me. I’m considering [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] myself and concerned that it’s number 60.

I really love [name_f]Margot[/name_f] and [name_f]Elodie[/name_f]. Couple new ones to throw into the ring:

[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]
[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]
[name_f]Alice[/name_f]
[name_f]Cecelia[/name_f]

good luck choosing!!!
