Need name suggestions!

We are expecting our first in [name_u]November[/name_u] and are waiting to be surprised on the sex of the baby! Our girl list is in decent shape, but we are struggling with boy names. So far, here are some of our favorites:

[name_u]Ira[/name_u]
[name_u]Emery[/name_u]
[name_m]Thatcher[/name_m]
[name_m]Guy[/name_m]
[name_u]Wren[/name_u]
[name_u]Remy[/name_u]

We’d love to add a few more the out options! Our three-syllable last name starts with an “Or” sound, so we’d like to stay away from names with a similar sound (Orson, [name_m]Soren[/name_m], etc).

Thanks for the help!

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] there.

Neat list!

Here are my thoughts-

Ira-I adore [name_u]Ira[/name_u]. It’s simple & smart & a little quirky & old fashioned & sort of artsy. All the good things! Not at all popular, but well known.

Emery-I’m not huge on this one. It’s used for girls some, & I can’t decide if it feels feminine or masculine. It just feels a bit trendy over all.

Thatcher-Super cute. It has a fun cowboy vibe, or just a charming little ballplayer. It’s fairly easy but not at all popular. And has the cool easy nn of [name_m]Thatch[/name_m].

Guy-This seems a bit too simple or something. Maybe as a nn, but just feels weird as a name.

Wren-It’s not awful, but I think also used a lot more for girls. I love the bird connection, but the sounds feels bland to me.

Remy-That’s adorable. [name_m]Handsome[/name_m] & kind of witty. Simple & not over done.

Meant to say - I really like [name_u]Wren[/name_u] (especially as a nn for Lawrence) and [name_u]Remy[/name_u]!

[name_u]Ira[/name_u] - love this, underused classic and very handsome reminds me of [name_m]Ike[/name_m] and feels very roaring 20s
[name_u]Emery[/name_u] - feels much more trendy then [name_u]Ira[/name_u], but still a great name
[name_m]Thatcher[/name_m] - this has a very old west vibe to it which I think is super cute
[name_m]Guy[/name_m] - reminds me of [name_m]Guy[/name_m] Fieri but also just seems like naming your kid Boy
[name_u]Wren[/name_u] - prefer this for a girl, for whatever arbitrary reason I prefer [name_u]Ren[/name_u] or [name_u]Renny[/name_u] on a boy
[name_u]Remy[/name_u] - reminds me of Ratatouille, but i love it, it’s so sweet and i would love to meet a little boy with this name

I know its been a while, but wanted to say thank you for all the suggestions!

We had a little boy (who arrived three weeks early!) and named him [name_u]Ira[/name_u] [name_m]Peter[/name_m]. We ended up being in the hospital for nearly a week due to some issues with his early arrival, and didn’t decide on his name until the day we were discharged! His first name fit him well since he came out as a very tiny baby with major old man vibes, and his middle name is in honor of my grandfather.

He is now nearly eight months old and thriving and we are pretty obsessed with him! Thank you again for all your help!
