Ohh, [name_f]Tess[/name_f] is one of my favourites! [name_f]Claire[/name_f] is lovely for her sister, as is [name_f]Nell[/name_f] (possibly a tiny bit close though, but that might just be me!)
I love the name [name_f]Tess[/name_f], how about:
[name_f]Maeve[/name_f]
[name_f]Leah[/name_f]
[name_f]Lorna[/name_f]
[name_u]Tora[/name_u]
[name_f]Jane[/name_f]
[name_f]Elle[/name_f]
[name_f]Kiera[/name_f]
I actually reeeally like [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] !! Unfortunately they juuust don’t flow with our last name – which is a 1 syllable, four-letter common color name starting with G.
Greer: [name_f]Greer[/name_f] might work with the last name, possibly
Blaire: I don’t have strong feelings either way, surprisingly (it’s rare that this is the case). It’s fine. Very close to [name_f]Claire[/name_f]. And, similar to [name_f]Claire[/name_f], used to be a boys name, then unisex, now girls’name.
Thank you!!
I do like [name_f]Paige[/name_f] with our LN. The hubster is lukewarm on it. I’m not in love with it either. I’ve never imagined myself having a little [name_f]Paige[/name_f]… But I do think it sounds quite good w our LN.
Hello again Greyblue! I recognize your moniker from lots of posts we’ve both been on in the past – including each others’ ! [name_f]Hope[/name_f] all is well.
I actually really love [name_f]Meg[/name_f], just [name_f]Meg[/name_f]. But with our LN, that double g is just too much glottal. And I haaate going with the longer name when the intention is to only call her the shortened name. Because I end up being that person I hate being that yells HER NAME IS MEG !!
How about [name_f]Maeve[/name_f], [name_f]Freya[/name_f], [name_f]Zoe[/name_f], [name_u]Sage[/name_u], [name_u]Quinn[/name_u], [name_u]Rae[/name_u], [name_f]Alice[/name_f], [name_f]Luna[/name_f]
I LOVE [name_f]Meg[/name_f] as a standalone, it’s on my own list! I think it sounds fine with your surname.
If you like [name_f]Meg[/name_f], I’m just going to throw out [name_f]Mab[/name_f] as an option too. It’s a bit more unusual but similarly strong and simple, with a great literary namesake in [name_f]Queen[/name_f] [name_f]Mab[/name_f], “the fairies’ midwife”.
Thanks!
We have the same worries about most of the names we like the most, like [name_m]Clark[/name_m] Gr@y and [name_m]Jack[/name_m] Gr@y. I just hear Clar-Gr@y and Ja-Gr@y, respectively!
