Need names similar to chester

My dad passed away recently and me and my husband are now expecting out third child and I’m looking for ideas for names sounds like or goes with [name_m]Chester[/name_m]. Boy and girl. First and middle names. Our other two kids both first names start with K so if suggesting first name I’d prefer it start with a K! And please, nothing said bad towards anything I know chester is a odd, old name I just really want to carry his name on. Thank you!

I’m so sorry to hear about your loss.

The obvious answer to me is [name_m]Kester[/name_m] for a boy, which I love! It’s an obscure Scottish form of [name_m]Christopher[/name_m].

I really love [name_m]Chester[/name_m] too, actually, so I’d support using that in full too if you like it.

Other K names that share sounds and/or meaning with [name_m]Chester[/name_m]:

[name_m]Keir[/name_m]
[name_u]Kerr[/name_u]
[name_m]Kannon[/name_m]

Kestrel
[name_f]Krista[/name_f]

Others:

Chesten (Cornish form of [name_f]Christine[/name_f])
[name_f]Francesca[/name_f]/Cesca

You could just use [name_m]Chester[/name_m]!

I’m so sorry for your loss, and I think it’s wonderful that you’re honoring your dad’s name. I personally think [name_m]Chester[/name_m] is a wonderful, charming name. [name_m]Chet[/name_m] stands out to me in that it is more modern but has a similar meaning and sound. As do [name_u]Kim[/name_u] and [name_u]Kimberly[/name_u]/[name_f]Kimberley[/name_f], with some sound connection, a “K,” and the meaning “from the royal fortress meadow.” Some ideas:

Sound connection, first or middle:
[name_f]Hester[/name_f]
[name_f]Esther[/name_f]
Kalia
[name_f]Keira[/name_f]
[name_f]Chiara[/name_f]
Kestrel
[name_f]Chloe[/name_f]
[name_f]Carina[/name_f]

Meaning connection: ([name_m]Chester[/name_m] means fortress/walled town, so I tried to find other names with that meaning.)
[name_u]Darcy[/name_u] (means “dark fortress”)
[name_f]Deva[/name_f] (a [name_m]Roman[/name_m] fortress)
Cyrenne (both for sound and that it is a walled city.)
[name_m]Cashel[/name_m] (walled city in [name_f]Ireland[/name_f] with a connecting sound)
[name_m]Burke[/name_m]
[name_m]Carew[/name_m] (“from the fortress”)
Caerwyn/Carwyn (“white fortress”)
[name_u]Cary[/name_u]

[name_u]Lesley[/name_u]/[name_u]Leslie[/name_u] (from the gray forest)
[name_m]Marvin[/name_m] (“from the sea fortress”)
[name_u]Carlisle[/name_u]/[name_u]Carlyle[/name_u]
(“from the walled city”)

I know a baby boy named Keston.

My first thought was [name_u]Chelsea[/name_u] for a girl - it seeks like the female version of [name_m]Chester[/name_m]. So you could do [name_f]Kelsea[/name_f] maybe?

Keston and [name_f]Kelsea[/name_f]

My dad is also dying (on hospice) so I definitely get it. I’m sorry for your loss.
