Hello! I love the idea of having ‘[name]GEM[/name]’ initials but if choosing a ‘G’ name is only for this reason, than I think that going with a name you love the most might be a better bet
[name]Gabrielle[/name] seems a little dated to me. I love [name]Grace[/name], despite its popularity. Other [name]Grace[/name] options are [name]Graciela[/name] and [name]Gracelyn[/name]. What about:
Wow, thanks so much for the wonderful replies! I know, maybe I shouldn’t focus so much on her initials so that I need a “G” first name. But “[name]GEM[/name]” just sounds so cute!
I think you should name her [name]Gemma[/name]! Then her initials will spell her nn. I think that would be so cool! I am always lookng for short names that end in H (my last name starts with H) so that my kids name can be spell their initials. I am always coming up with crazy combinations, I find it very fun and it drives my husband crazy.
For example: [name]Josh[/name] [name]Oliver[/name] [name]Samuel[/name] H. = J.O.S.H.
or girl: [name]Leah[/name] [name]Evelyn[/name] [name]Adele[/name] H. = L.E.A.H.
Ok, I am easily amused. Maybe I will post this in the games section.
I don’t have any new names that haven’t been suggested already but my favorites are:
[name]Gillian[/name]
[name]Gemma[/name]
[name]Genevieve[/name]
[name]Gwendolyn[/name]
[name]Gabrielle[/name] - I don’t think this is as dated as some people say.
Yes, [name]Gemma[/name] would be cute! Then she would really be a “gem”! [name]Do[/name] you think she would have trouble with people not knowing how to spell it? i.e. with people spelling it “[name]Jemma[/name]”?
Gayden [name]Emily[/name]? I love Gayden I’m not sure that that’s how it’s spelled… GOOD [name]LUCK[/name]~ I have two last names the first starts with G and the second starts with M together… G-M gem
I just looked it up, [name]Gemma[/name] seems like the more “correct” way to spell it. [name]Gemma[/name] is #888 in the SSA list and [name]Jemma[/name] is not in the top 1000. I think it might be spelled wrong now and then, but not always.
I also think the name [name]Gemma[/name] would be perfect, although I am a little biased because my daughter is named [name]Gemma[/name]. We call her our little [name]Gem[/name] as well. I haven’t had problems with misspellings.
