Need new girl names at 39 weeks!!

My husband hasn’t been too into thinking about names until now. We don’t know if we are having a boy or a girl so we planned on just having a short list for both until the baby arrives. Now at 39 weeks my husband isn’t sold on the girl names we have on our short list! I’m out of ideas to suggest to him and looking for something new.

The names he did leave on the short list are [name_u]Waverly[/name_u], [name_u]Henley[/name_u] and [name_u]Ainsley[/name_u]. Our top boy name is [name_m]Drake[/name_m] and I think all three of those sound like they could be [name_m]Drake[/name_m]'s sister. They aren’t overly feminine or traditional, but not too “modern” that I can’t picture them as an adult.

Any new suggestions I can bring up to the hubby would be great! [name_f]TIA[/name_f]!!

I really like [name_u]Waverly[/name_u] and [name_u]Ainsley[/name_u], and if you like both, that’s probably enough options! [name_u]Henley[/name_u] I’m not as into since I think of the shirts. If you aren’t sold and want more ideas…

Are you sure you want to add names at 39 weeks, or would you rather narrow it down between the final 3? I’m a little confused about whether your husband still likes the three options you’ve listed. If he does–and of course, assuming you do, too–it seems like three should be enough to find the one that “fits” when you meet her!

My favorite of the three is [name_u]Waverly[/name_u]. [name_u]Henley[/name_u] is the only one I wouldn’t go for–it reminds me of t-shirts.

Thank you for all of the suggestions! I’m surprised how many of these I’ve already suggested to DH previously. I did find some new ones on these lists to run by him but I’m still hoping he’ll come around on [name_u]Ainsley[/name_u] or [name_u]Waverly[/name_u]. :smiley:

I am not a fan of [name_u]Waverly[/name_u]. I have a cousin named [name_u]Henley[/name_u] but it isn’t my favorite. My sisters name is [name_f]Ansley[/name_f], so I am biased I guess, but I love that name! I am not as much a fan of [name_u]Ainsley[/name_u], but it’s still super cute!

To people saying they are too masculine, I think they are the perfect in between frilly and frumpy. My name is [name_u]Shelby[/name_u] and I appreciate not having such a girly name!!
