I posted previously searching for some help on names for the siblings of my book, which was solved! Now I just need four new names, all male–three for band members of the brother’s band, and one for a potential love interest for the main character and sister, [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f].
Since I’m revamping the same characters, I will post a small description along with their previous names to help.
[name_u]Rian[/name_u] (Lead Guitarist) - [name_u]Rian[/name_u] is always a bit of a trouble-maker, a womanizer and the craziest of the group. A total hot head and completely inappropriate. However, he has known [name_m]Gabe[/name_m], the main character’s brother–and the lead of the band, since they were children. He was previously described as tall, lean, tattooed with shaggy brown hair, a devilish smirk, and a bit of an alluring bad-boy vibe.
I’m not doing much to change his description entirely, but I need a new name. I want something that is definitive of his personality–whether it’s traditional or considered unique. Some names I’m considering are: [name_m]Ryder[/name_m] - [name_m]Asher[/name_m] - [name_u]Max[/name_u]
[name_m]Grayson[/name_m] (Bassist) - [name_m]Grayson[/name_m] is one of the more quiet, relaxed and reserved members of the group. He married his high school sweetheart [name_f]Nell[/name_f], and they have a young daughter (under five years old), [name_f]Abigail[/name_f]. I want a name that emulates his personality–much like a body of water. [name_m]Calm[/name_m], flowing and yet powerful. Classic names are a-okay with me on this character, because his demeanor leans towards the traditional and classical styles anyways.
[name_u]Everett[/name_u] ([name_m]Drummer[/name_m]) - So this guy has had a bit of a facelift since his previous characterization in the older versions of this book. In this version, he is still sweet as a teddy bear, but he has a hidden dark side that is incredibly fatal. He will be considered bipolar, so his personality will reflect those symptoms. The loving and incredible highs of mania, and the scary and aggressive lows of depression.
He is in an on and off again relationship with the Heroine, [name_f]Bea[/name_f], and has been since she was around 16 years old. They don’t have a large age gap like [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] does with [name_m]Gabe[/name_m]–[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] and [name_m]Gabe[/name_m] are five years apart in age, so their age difference isn’t much of their issue, but rather the fact it’s a conflict between their respective relationships with her brother/his boss, friend, and bandmate.
[name_u]Everett[/name_u] has russet-gold hair, warm, welcoming hazel eyes and a very charming smile (dimples included) Sometimes I imagine [name_m]Jasper[/name_m] from Twilight when I see him, but a bit more of the rock star look and he is most definitely not southern! I want a name that will be kind of unexpected and yet somehow fit him.[/LEFT]

One thing I want to do especially is staying mindful of the meanings behind each name.
[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_m]Morrison[/name_m] - A lovely name for a beautiful girl with a multitude of symbolism packed inside. NN is "Bumble [name_f]Bee[/name_f], " and she is sharp and unforgiving as a thorny rose, and yet is unassuming and very eye-catching when you look at her.
[name_m]Gabriel[/name_m] [name_m]Fox[/name_m] [name_m]Morrison[/name_m] - [name_m]Gabe[/name_m] is the name of an [name_m]Arch[/name_m] [name_u]Angel[/name_u]–and he is a protector especially towards [name_f]Bea[/name_f]. He is also very elusive and mysterious and quirky like a fox.
[LEFT]I want a name for [name_u]Everett[/name_u] that would parallel with theirs. Not necessarily evil/bad in connotation, but something that will be a bit of a foreshadowing of the trouble he will bring to [name_m]Gabe[/name_m] and [name_f]Bea[/name_f].[/LEFT]

NOW FOR THE MOST IMPORTANT NAME IN THE SERIES!
His former name was [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] [name_u]Sage[/name_u] Nightingale–but he went by “Splinter” for a majority of the book since he hated his name. He is very sarcastic, charismatic and a bit rough around the edges. He has long, thick dark blond hair that he usually keeps up in a bun, which [name_f]Bea[/name_f] always teases him about in the story. In previous versions, he and [name_f]Bea[/name_f] were practically enemies that turned to friends, and eventual lovers. I want that to be different this time, but with the same relationship build-up.
He is a drummer, much like [name_u]Everett[/name_u], and they eventually parallel one another. [name_u]Everett[/name_u] is [name_f]Bea[/name_f]'s past and could potentially ruin her future, while [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] or “Splinter” is her present -and- her future, if she’ll allow him to be.
I’m considering keeping [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] since it is such a great name, but of course, I am open to suggestions of similar or different names for him.
