Need opinion on baby girl first and middle!

We’re thinking of naming our first baby girl [name_u]Sloan[/name_u] [name_f]Florence[/name_f].

I’d like some general thoughts and reactions on this combo from the community!

Thanks for any feedback

[name_m]Hi[/name_m]!
Ok, I think the names are very pretty, but I am not so sure that they fit that well together. [name_u]Sloan[/name_u] and [name_f]Florence[/name_f] both have the ‘lo’ for the second and third letters and I feel like the ‘O’ sound is getting dragged throughout the names. Overall, when you get past that, the name is quite a nice one!
I really do hope you understand what I mean

I agree - im hung up on the repeating “o”. The last sylable of our last name also has an o, and i cant decide if i like the repition of that sound across all three names or if its too much.

We are also considering [name_u]Remy[/name_u] [name_f]Florence[/name_f].

[name_f]Florence[/name_f] is a family name and the city where we got married so really trying to keep it in there!

[name_u]Sloan[/name_u] is not my personal favorite, but I think the combo is cute and flows well. The O is a different sound in each name since [name_f]Florence[/name_f] has an R, so I don’t think that’s a problem. I prefer [name_u]Sloan[/name_u] to [name_u]Remy[/name_u] since I think of [name_u]Remy[/name_u] as a boy’s name. I like [name_u]Romy[/name_u], but that would have two Os as well.

I prefer [name_u]Sloan[/name_u] to [name_u]Remy[/name_u], as I find [name_u]Remy[/name_u] too masculine.

[name_u]Romy[/name_u] [name_f]Florence[/name_f] is a lovely suggestion.

[name_u]Sloan[/name_u] looks a little incomplete to me… Have you considered spelling it [name_u]Sloane[/name_u]? It seems like the more natural way to spell it. Unfortunately it brings words like moan and groan to mind for me. If you like the simple boy name thing how about:

[name_u]James[/name_u] [name_f]Florence[/name_f]
[name_f]Tess[/name_f] [name_f]Florence[/name_f]
[name_f]Cleo[/name_f] [name_f]Florence[/name_f]
[name_f]Thea[/name_f] [name_f]Florence[/name_f]

All the best!
